Now I don't rate Rios very highly but he has all the attributes to beat Garcia to a pulp. He's got a great chin, good power, good work rate and strong determination. You're not gonna keep him off of you with single punches unless you're the next Tito Trinidad. Garcia's defense is leaky and he's flat-footed. Against Rios he would do his usual stuff (throw a big shot, wait, wait, wait, throw another big shot) while Rios would be on top of him non stop. Rios would eat some bombs don't get me wrong, but I think he would just smile and keep coming. This would not end well for Garcia, I see him getting stopped unless he clinches every 10 seconds.
Garcia is no Abril and I guess you like hugfest like what Abril displayed vs Rios, he did not do enough to win the belt that's why his ass got the L and Rios is still undefeated! Garcia was given those belts fighting a battle-worn, washed up Morales; a Glass-chinned Khan and a now an old Judah, when he should be fighting Matthysse who holds the interim WBC belt. You go ahead and praise him now but I'm sure his time will come sooner or later to get exposed!
Lol u dilusional abril whooped him he only lost because of bob arum
Lol so a bunch of lightweights hit as hard as one of the hardest hitting Jr welters? Wtf is this? And he doesn't have the talent? Lmao. Rios just lost Richard frikkin Abril. He's not that good. Delusional is the nice way of saying what some of u are. I'm not gonna sit here and say a fighter is gonna win a fight as long as his chin holds up. If u think Garcia doesn't have enough talent to counter, time and crack rios' chin then I dunno what to tell u.

U guys honestly think Rios is super man rite? Nevermind the fact that's he's been clearly hurt more than once in his career and he's never fought a guy who punches harder than Garcia. Tbh I don't see how anyone can be confident in a Rios victory. Sooner or later the chin gets cracked and its always a power puncher who does it. Happens to just about everyone. Garcia is big, has power, fights at mid range, counters well, times well, this is a very hard fight for Rios to win. U guys really get carried away with ur love for pressure fighter. There's a reason they are a dying breed, there are numerous ways to beat them.
But Garcia doesn't posses the talent to pull it off, so yes he would get KTFO against Rios, and I'm sure Acosta, Murray, Antillon and Alvarado hit just as hard if not harder than Danny, most had 20+k.o's

I agree 100 Percent, and could possibly be stopped before the 10th rd.!
not so sure he would beat him, Garcia is getting overrated lately
Rios would never stop coming, don't think Garcia would stop him
and Rios' pressure would disrupt Garcia's attempt to box
it would be an inside fight, Rios outworks him and breaks him down
I think rios would be too strong, and have too much output for garcia. but at the same time Garcia offers little head movement and will be easy to hit. I would favour rios. On the inside Rios is the best fighter right now.
Knock Khan and Morales as much as you like but Rios has fought one decent opponent and he got schooled for 12 rounds solid.
He is so horrifically overrated and one of the very worst pro boxers I have ever seen. He has zero technique & is completely overrated.
His chin is average at best, he is slow as fcuk, flat footed, has zero defense or head movement, no jab, nothing but good power and a good workrate.
He does not belong in the same ring as Garcia. Garcia beating him would actually damage his legacy!
He is worse than a 80yr old Morales, worse than Khan, worse than Holt & Judah. Hell Ashley Theophane would box rings around Rios.
It would be 2-3 steps backwards!
Danny Garcia beats Bum Bum however he wants. If he wants to outbox him - He will!
If he wants to K.O him - He will!
And in whatever round he wants to at that.
The people predicting Rios to win are only doing so on the fact they know Bob Arum wouldn't let it.
lateral movement for garcia is really very very important for this fight.. he shouldn't allow himself to fight rios fight, or let rios close the distance and land his own fireballs of combination. I think Rios chin can carry some of those left hook for awhile while being outbox.. but if garcia challenges and puts himself just in front of rios, i can see rios being very very effective with his combinations, and don't get me wrong but garcia's defence is also not that good.
yeah garcia really doesn't have sh1t tbh just through's left hooks in the exchange...he has no head movement, cuts easily, flat footed, no jab, no strait right...tbh we really don't know how legit his power is cause all he did was ko a glass jawed fighter and a old fat shot to sh1t fighter.
rios imho would just walk him down get in his ass and break him down just like the alvarado fight tbh left uppers, overhand rights, power jab's.
rios late stopage
I'd make Danny a favourite in this fights. He is at his best when a guy opens up and coming at him. Its as if he needs them to make the first move beofre he can explode with his power and Im sure Rios would oblige. If Rios relaises everytime he initiates Garcia couters with power he may get discouraged but if he doesnt it will be a painful night.
Garcias good at reading punches coming at him and he adjusts in there so once he starts timing you he sets you up for the big shots. The 2nd Morales fight finish was a great example where Danny was looking for the left hook but needed Erik to open up first so he pawed with a few jabs and as soon as Erik took the bait Danny dipped his shoulder into that left hook and ended it.
Rios wont go down so easy but im sure after afew they will take their affect and in honesty I see it being a pretty brutal fight that doesnt end well for Rios.
i dont think he can ..rios all day..i dont see anyone outbrawling rios and i dont see garcia outboxing rios either, he aint much of a technicain himself...dont even know how the hell kendall holt lost to him but holt strikes me as someone who does'nt give it his all in fear of getting ktfo...
so let me get this right?...Rios is just gonna walk in on Danny and beat him up?!?....Danny is just gonna stand there and allow it because he doesn't have a choice?!?...am I reading this stuff right? :lol1:
pardon my french, but how the FUK is Rios gonna beat the kid without a jab? how?...c'mon man...he's not gonna win any early rounds like Khan did or get over respected like Morales did in the first fight...nah....Danny has enough power to get any 140 pounder's respect and I can see him getting Rios's...but being the balls to the wall cat Bam is, he won't fold untile he's folded..completely!!
counter left hook from Danny catches Bam as he throws one of his uppercuts is how I see this ending....TKO 10
The Keys is for him to wing as many of those left hooks as he can and hope to either hurt him, or get his respect... Both hard to do
Outside of that, he just needs to jab and run
Don't expect anything else
I got Danny Garcia by big TKO/KO around the mid to late rounds. I think there are things Danny can do that we haven't seen yet, one of them being lasting in a dog fight which Rios would turn it into, I think Danny would land his bombs, tie Rios up, use his feet and range to bust him up. He is a Philly fighter after all, he has some good tricks and savvy in there and underrated skill, he is going to know how to survive in that type of fight.
It is not going to be the case that if Garcia doesn't land the home run he loses, he is a better fighter than that. It is a tough fight and Garcia will have to absorb punishment, but Rios can't take that kind of fire power in my opinion and even if he does I expect Garcia to outpoint him.
