Do you guys get nervous when watching your favriote boxers fight???
Tell me sum of your nervous moments while watching a live fight....
Mine was when Mosley almost knocked mayweather...
If there's an amount of personal investment in the fight I feel as though I'm stepping through the ropes myself.
Before the opening bell of Tyson Vs Holyfield I; chattering of teeth and shaking like a sh*tting dog there was that much adrenaline pumping through my system. As soon as the bell rang the intense focus brought it under control.
Similar thing with Hatton Vs Mayweather. Major drop in body temperature before the opening bell. During the rounds the focus brought a serenity, in between rounds was painful though. When he got stopped I stepped outside and vomited.
Was real nervous and worried when Jamie Moore KO'd Matthew Macklin. Had Just said to my girl that this was the type of fight where Macklin looked like getting seriously hurt in then Bam down he went face first and it was real scary for a while, Moore was classy and hushed the crowd and never celebrated
Get nervous every Cotto and JMM fight
I didn't get nervous when Shane caught Mayweather, but the final round of Martinez vs Chavez nearly killed me after the previos 11 rounds of schoolin'. When the final bell rang and Sergio was still standing I nearly cried
I still can't believe he made it out of that round. The look on his face after the first knock down had me really nervous. That 12th rd was prob the most intense/emotional ive gotten since watching boxing regularly last few years.
Most recently Lara and Vanes ... I wanted Lara to shut that kids mouth, seemed like he wasn't handling Vanes power early on I sensed a kd or possible ko. Started drinking heavily and then the straight lefts from Lara put me at ease.
This example isn't when I watched live but:
One of mine was when Froch knocked down Taylor for the first time in the last round of their fight and he got up!! I knew Froch was behind on the cards and there was 30secs left! He didn't rush in at all (like some boxers would). He took his time and picked his shots to finish Taylor, but while he was taking his time I was screaming at the TV for him to hurry up and finish him!
A KO with 14 secs left in the last round of a fight my fighter was behind in, doesn't get much more nervous than that.
This was exactly the fight I was about to mention and everything you just mentioned was what I was experiencing too, I was screaming and jumping up and down for Froch to jump on him, I was pissed by how calm Froch was when he went to work on Taylor in the final seconds, I was looking at the touch on the side of my TV while Froch was unloading on Taylor, When Taylor finally got KO I was running around like a crazy person lol.

yea i do, hell i get nervous when someone i just want to win might lose.
im not a huge fan of sergio but i wanted him to beat the **** out of jcc jr. I was going crazy in the 12th i really didnt want jcc to win. I became a fan of amir again after he showed heart vs garcia and vs molina i thought every shot was gonna knock him out lol

Cotto vs Mayweather in the 12. Martinez vs Chavez in the 12th lol. Uhh, Marquez-Pac 4 I thought Marquez was toast. Another recent one was Guerrero-Berto. Guerrero was getting tagged with hard uppercuts, I thought he was gonna go down.
I was so stoked and full of nervous energy during the 12th round of Vazquez-Marquez III. When Marquez got knocked down I shouted.
When Sergio hit the canvas this year against Chavez, I thought it was over, watching him survive was awesome.
You know what, any 12th round of any fight produces a little bit of nervous energy for me.
I'm always on the edge of my seat when Mayweather, Marquez, and Cotto fight because I always want them to win. But the whole time I was watching Hatton in his come back fight I was worried that he would be knocked out, just wasn't expecting a body shot. Now whenever I watch Khan fight I get the feeling that the fight could change in an instant with Khan on the canvas. When Jermain Taylor was fighting I always thought that he could get KOd in each fight because of his stamina issues but I wanted him to do well in each fight.
But hey, I love boxing, big fights on a Saturday night is all I need in life :boxing:
Not really nervous but when Shane cracked Mayweather I started getting hype thinking (Finally someone is gonna shut this fool up) then Shane got outclassed from that point on. A real letdown.
When my favorite fighters fight I not only get nervous but I sit at the edge of my seat and I don't want anyone talking or touching me. I love to be focused on the fight, but one of the most nervous moments this year was round 12 of Martinez/Jr. It seemed like a lifetime for Sergio to get up. I was really happy he did and kept exchanging. That really showed the heart of a champion.
I get nervous about almost every big fight.
Even if there isn't a fighter I'm really a fan of, I just always get nerves for whatever reason. Yuri causes me concern when he get's too confident and starts those crazy combo's, Sergio also in that 12th round...that was 2 minutes of nervous shouting at the telly.

Way to many fights to mention I always get nervous when my favourite fighters are fighting!! Juan v Pac has to be the best result ive had in years tho!!!
Definitely my heart rate sped up like a mo'fo when Shane clocked Floyd. I just went quite while my housemates were going crazy. My dude came back like a true champ though & dominated Shane.
Another one was Froch in the last round against Taylor. I couldn't believe it and I thought Froch was going to lose the title and to end it the way he did was unreal.
The last one was probably the Martinez one though. I saw him get clocked and I was screaming at my laptop for him to hold on...soon as he hit the canvas I thought that's it, it's over. I felt bad for the dude and then he comes back and fights his ass off like a true warrior. Beast mode.
even though marquez won, nerves were def going on pre-fight, knowing pac had the power to drop him. pacquaio was getting the better of him. pacman looked determined to win that night.
martinez getting dropped in the last round against chavez was huge. he got up like he had something left, but he was completely open for more big shots. chavez just didn't follow up, but man the remainder of that round was crazy.
estos......... Going into the 11th round he was starting to slow down and he was getting caught more and more frequently. By the end of the 11th I was saying how all he had to do was stay on his feet.... then he got dropped. one of the worst feelings ever.. my heart sank LoL
