khan (27-3 19 KOs) defeated lightweight carlos molina (17-1 7 KOs) in an attempt to save his career after back to back loses. khan dominated the fight with a 10th round tko but khan was caught a few times.
in the build up of this fight, khan said he learnt a lot about defense and had become a more mature boxer. to me, khan certainly has talent but he did not show any significant changes and actually looked the same. he was still vulnerable to big counters after he unleashes his own fast combinations. molina lacks the power at lightweight to knock people out but was somehow managed to rock khan at times.
khan now has all the confidence in the world after he beat up a light weight half his size. he even went to the extent of calling out danny garcia for a rematch and said he would knock him out. the problem with khan is his arrogance has dug himself into a deep hole. after he lost to peterson, he was constantly talking about a fight with mayweather. when he lost to garcia, he still maintained that he was one of the best fighters in the world. instead of admitting he was wrong, he dumped roach who helped him win 2 world titles and refused to accept any of the blame.
the rightful opponent for garcia is lucas mattysse since he is the mandatory challenger for his WBC belt. i am hoping garcia is man enough to give matthysse his shot. as for khan, he should shut the hell up and just walk the walk.
your thoughts?
I would like to see a rematch. If Khan wins the rematch let them do it again if Garcia KO's Khan again on to the next one for Garcia.
i would only agree to a rematch after garcia faces matthysse, who has king of losers khan fought to earn a title shot?
The problem with Khan is ultimately, as the TS pointed out, that he has zero humility and takes zero accountability for his failures.
He thinks he is some special once in a generation fighter when he has been beaten 3 times by guys nobody considered to even be among the top-3 fighters at the 140lb weight.
I guarantee you that if the rematch hits the negotiating table Khan will start off by demanding a 50/50 split "because I'm Amir Khan and there are still at least 50 tea baggin English losers on boxingscene who say I am the greatest".
KHAN WILL NEVER GO AWAY!!
I have figured it out: this guy believes he is so good, that even when he get KOd he believes it to be everyone elses fault,, this will continue for ever...
Mark my words; Even if Garcia Kicks his ass again he will continue to proclaim his destined greatness.
Kahn Honestly believes he has never lost.
I think Garcia needs to fight Matthyse after he beats the has been Judah. Matthyse v Khan could be made for mid 2013, while Khan gets 2 more fights under his belt. Then finish the year off with Khan v Garcia 2, as long as Khan carries on winning. Just because you think a guy will beat another guy, possibly by KO, doesn't mean the fight shouldn't happen.
Heck, I don't think Garcia wants any of Matthyse or Rios, so a Khan fight makes perfect sense.
Garcia will fight Khan before he ever gets in the ring with Lucas, simply because his big payday could be ruined by Lucas..
Khan offers the biggest payday for Garcia at 140 as it stands, so Lucas will have to wait, sadly
The winner of Khan vs Garcia will end up fighting Lucas, i have no doubt about that though
You guys over inflating Garcia are going to be in for a bump when the game is over and he's brutally exposed
I would back Khan to beat him in a rematch and you guys better give me big odds with how you think Khan isn't even worthy of a rematch. Garcia is sh1t, I can't believe the hype that's running away with him for his last 2 wins, considering Khan is "sh1t" and Morales way past prime and in early retirement.
Garcia is overrated.
That being said, Khan can definitely beat him in a rematch, but he's gonna have to fight smart. And judging by his last couple fights, he would have a hard time changing his approach and that would likely get him knocked out by Garcia again.
:lol1: explain how dudes are hyping up Garcia?!?...just because nobody thinks much of Rios when it comes to putting him against Garcia?...just because dudes believe he can KO a dude he already KO'd if they meet again?!?...is it because dudes don't think Lucas would beat him?....what about those other cats?!?...Rios and Lucas....are they not whaty you call hyped fighters?
yea i never understand that

i for one think garcia's power is no joke. he does has some counter punching abilities and his power is no joke, garcia climbed the ranks using his skill and power and not because of hype. matthysse is not a hyped fighter, he has a record that speaks for itself, plus the guy has the highest ko ratio in and around the division
Later down the road yes but now it should be Judah, Mathysse and Rios in that order. After that a fight with Khan could be made.
Khan isn't deserving of a rematch yet when this is one of the most stacked divisions in boxing. Did Morales deserve a rematch? Hell naw, but it was in the contract. Matthysse definitely takes priority over Khan at this stage, as would Brandon Rios, or JMM (though good luck making either of those fights happen). I wouldn't even mind seeing Adrien Broner, or Marcos Maidana mixing it up with Garcia on the condition he takes care of business against Matthysse first which would be no easy task. And let's all not sleep on Judah, he gave Matthysse a good fight and has quick hands which is what was troubling Garcia in the first two 1/2 rounds against Khan. Khan needs to go back to the drawing board and take on title eliminators, not only if he wants to get a title shot, but if he wants to become a more well-rounded fighter. Not to say he's ducked opponents, because he certainly hasn't—he's learned the hard way what not ducking can do—but clearly his defense and chin are deficiencies and he needs many more rounds to work on defensive techniques with his new trainer before he can rematch a guy who's already knocked him out.
Once he beats Josesito Lopez, he can target Khabib Allahkherdiev who I think is the WBC interim champ under Garcia (and best of all for Khan's sake, he doesn't hit hard!) Then one fight with a puncher to see if he can handle Garcia's best stuff, maybe like a Maidana rematch, and he's back in the mix. Three fights in 2013 and a title shot in 2014.

If Khan would have stocked to boxing like he did in the first 3 rounds, he would have easily beaten Garcia. Khan just got caught and like some posters are saying Garcia has a lot of people tricked into believing he is better than he really is.
Khan does deserve a rematch and I believe he would win in a rematch.
nah, thats Canelo....he got dudes thinking he can actually beat Floyd...can you believe that ish?!?...smh

the fans: Danny is ducking Lucas...he need to fight Lucas next, I hope he's man enough!!!
Danny: Al and Oscar, I want this fight now!!
Al: Oscar?
Oscar: not yet
Al: you heard the man, now get the fuk outta my office and wait for your dad's phone to ring
Danny: fuk yall, I want outta this contract
the fans: Danny is a dumb dude...why the hell would he leave the dudes who made him a few millions?!?...smh...his career is done!!
thats how it works with the spectators....Danny doesn't have the luxury of hand picking opponents....and it doesn't matter if you think Danny is a good fighter or not....in the case with Khan, he'll always be able to win that....just because Khan's flaws play right into the strengths of Swift...simple!!!
people forget khan was outboxing garcia the whole fight until he got reckless....
Thw whole fight? We only had two completed rounds beofre Khan tasted the canvas. And people dont forget that. They constantly mention when trying to convince others Khan stands a chance in a return but all it shows it Khans speed only keeps him out of trouble for afew minutes.
The 1st two rounds of any fight isnt a great indictator of what may come because it takes the action a couple of rounds to settle and fall into its pattern.
As soon as the action settled Khan got knocked out which tells me Khan can try different things but when it comes down to it Garica has his number.
that is the truth... khan is definitely still butthurt from the loss.
people forget khan was outboxing garcia the whole fight until he got reckless....
simply put, IF khan can keep it together he can avenge his loss...
garcia has some counter punching skills, he gave the first few rounds to khan to time his own shots, khan might have boxed well in the first 2 rounds but by the 3rd round, we can see garcia making adjustments, that knock out punch was no lucky shot, and i don't even like the guy.
Khan doesnt deserve a shot at ANY world title. After Peterson handed him a beating he was given his belts. He was actually given them!!!! Then Garcia lays him out and he blames it on Roachs disease.
