To me, this has to be the best "24/7" type episode I have seen in a while. Showtime hit a homerun with this one. The slow motion shots of the fight and the dramatic music made it seem like a classic Rocky movie and made the fight seem more exciting than it was. I also enjoyed the extra bits like the different angles and extra audio when they would switch to Alvarez, then to the corner, then to the fans, and so on.
This, everything about it was great, especially the editing.
Hey you know what they need to do more episodes, Cottos wife is gorgeous she cleans up well, but she reminds me of Pacman's wife because of all the plastic surgery and beauty stuff she does to herself. Cottos wife is hot though. But her nose is disappearing.
I remember seeing Cotto's wife like 5 years ago on the tv with Cotto and she had a ton of zits, and her skin was darker now she has white skin.
Is that tall gay son Cottos kid or is that his step son? Cotto never really acknowledges that boy in any of the videos or kisses him on the lips like his other family members.
they were really playing up the Canelo Alvarez villain angle, watching the fight like Commodus observing the gladiators. If Canelo doesn't fight Mayweather next I really hope takes on Trout, he really deserved it with that performance. As for Cotto, maybe a soft touch fight and judging how well he performs maybe he can come down to 147 to fight Robert Guerrero in a farewell PR-Mexico fight at MSG? If there's one thing Cotto-Trout proved, it's that Cotto is too small to hang with the real 154 pounders.
It's a must watch episode. If it's been posted already please let me know.
Damn good episode! Thanks for posting!
I look forward to following Trout's career. The man is classy and a family man.
LOL at Schaefer and Canelo ringside hoping for a Cotto victory.
Cotto bond with his your son really brings tears to my eye, that boy loves Cotto !!!! In fact am crying right now lol
This. And that bit where his wife tells him shes hurting also got me a bit emotional. I find it disgusting how the cameras seem to love the fighter's family's tears, of course maybe they shouldn't be there in the first place... Still, that doesn't make it right to try and make television out of people's suffering.
That being said, Trout's a humble dude and a hard worker, I'm glad for him.
Trout appears to be an old school fighter. Props to him for handling the entire thing as a gentleman. He's well traveled and stays to his roots. I can see a good future for him if he can land big fights.
As for Cotto, his time came and went. He gave us great fights but I think it's time for him to hang them up. I cringe every time he gets hit flush, he can't take shots like he used to anymore.

Good episode.
Trout comes across as a real humble dude & I'm glad he won. That was some BS with his family not getting into see the weigh in.
Hope he gets some big fights and more respect now. Definitely deserved.
Even before watching this great video (Hope HBO can do something like this one) I saw this fight last week and made a note of Cotto been called last even though he wasn't the champion.. There wasn't any issue really but a champion gets called last and that's what a champion that is going into the ring deserves.
Oh I see, and yes I agree with you. And yeah Trout was frustrated that his family and friends didn't get credentialed to the weigh in and got boo'd by Cotto's fans lol. And how Canelo was up on the stage stealing the spotlight.
I wasn't listening much during this part, what was the full issue again? Cotto wanted his name to be announced first?

They even locked Trout family and opponents out, that's low coming Cotto side and am glad he got his as* kicked, Sometime this are the little motivation a fighter needs and they gave trout plenty of those little motivation.
I like how humbled Trout was before the fight, I liked the fact that his fiancée went and greet Cotto's wife and took pictures with her but I didn't like the part where Cotto comes in last and gets his name announced last, that's too much ego for me and something that if someone like Mayweather or Pacquiao would probably get critise for doing if they did the same sheet.
