Khan simply is not sturdy because he has no legs. He needs to add serious muscle to his legs to give him the support that he needs. I whole heartedly believe his weakness is his legs. Besides not having great chin. A strong base and he should improve considerably.
when you have a weak chin no matter how big your muscles in your body or your legs its not really gonna help..
Agreed, but it should be common sense that its not going to help your chin. I'm talking about working on his legs improving other facets of his game. Hence why I said besides, not having a great chin. Liven up and pay closer attention to the details.
It's not a matter of muscle, it's stance, timing, and movement. He bobbles whenever he gets hit. Stop leaning forward so far and get more vertical movement so the body isn't constantly swaying.
And Slightlydazed. Yes his stance is always off because I believe he's still stuck in a somewhat amateur style with quick figitty movements so you're right on that but the proportion of his torso to his legs is off andadds to why he bobbles as you say. Besides his fundamental flaws. Agreed?
He is too predictable. He has very fast hands but is not the most difficult guy to time. A good fighter can time him easily when he attacks.
What I like about him tho is his incredible stamina, he can throw tons of fast punches for 12 rounds but like I said he is not the hardest guy to time despite his speed.
His weakness is getting nailed clean on the chin by big punchers.
Yeah, that and like Jim Watt says his chin is too high and he pulls straight back.
Garcia going left-hook happy again would probably take Khan out again in the rematch.
I think Khan's a better fighter but that left-hook gets in. Prescott done it long before Garcia.

Good observation.
He does have chicken legs, and his defensive/concentration lapses are very costly.
He looked better against lower opposition, Duhhh! He still have huge gaps in his defense! Danny will knock him out again! The few times Molina got agressive, he connected clean!
I don't blame the legs as much as you do, I agree is a factor just like the guy in my sig he gets reckless in and likes to trade but falling down in exchanges is no big deal because you are off balance, but when Khan gets nailed by a semi descent puncher is like the lights flicker every single time , that's why i wouldn't bet on him you just never know.
he doesnt have boxing skills. People keep talking about him being some type of boxer but he's not. He has one thiong going for him and that's his fast hands.
We won't have a logn carreer and he'll be knocked out again really soon. A very ****y SOB.
I'm no boxer, but some of his issues seem like really fundamental flaws. Why won't he tuck his chin? Why does he keep dropping his hands as he gains confidence? Isn't this like boxing 101?
I think we saw some improvement tonight, but it's hard to say how much considering the opposition.

I agree, but also his defense has some serious wholes...especially against A Class fighters. There's only so much Virgil can do.
