Seconds after Manny Pacquiao was knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden, two key members of his team allegedly assaulted Getty Images photographer Al Bello because they were angry that Bello was shooting pictures of the fallen fighter.
Bello said Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz and assistant trainer Buboy Fernandez were punching and kicking at Bello as he was trying to photograph Pacquiao, who was face first down on the mat.
Bello jumped off the apron in an effort to avoid confrontation with the men.
"Had I not gotten off the ring, I have no doubt the two of them would have beaten the out of me and I might have been seriously hurt," Bello told Yahoo! Sports.

I hope that photographer sues their f*cking asses off.
I don't care what excuses Team Pacquiao have for this - There's no reason for assaulting a person for doing their job. Period.
i actually dont have a problem with this.. It was purely from the heart therefore i can care less, i wouldnt take this too personally if i was the reporter, hopefully hes not hurt..

hahaha Koncz not wanting to let that guy get away that easy. You can't blame them for doing that in the heat of the moment.
i would do the same thing if i was in mannys corner. a picture lasts forever, nobody wants to be photographed knocked out like that. especially knowing how classless the majority of boxing fans are.
its the photographers job but still, he has a choice if he wants to be an artistic photographer taking well timed classic pictures of the action or a paparazzi kind of photographer catching fighters at their worst. he chose the latter and pacquiaos team werent having it.
You're getting paid millions of dollars to be on camera and entertain these "classless" fans. Just like they cheer for you when you knock some one out cold, they're going to be in awe when you get knocked out as well. The photographers are licensed and it's their jobs to get the best pictures of what transpired; from the entrances to which ever fighter is lying on the mat. They don't just get paid to take pictures, they have to take VERY GOOD pictures of everything possible.
I am not a photographer and I don't like paparazzi's, I would avoid becoming a star just to avoid putting my life under a microscope. But you need to study some quick photography and what they have to do, to understand better. It's not a great job, but somebody has to do it. You can't sh-t on them for doing that, maybe that was all they were good at, taking pictures, and they made a career out of it. Not all of us can actually pick and choose what we're good at.
What would you guys say if floyd's camp did this?
All the crack family, thug, ghetto jokes would surface and nobody would get banned. But its totally ok for FAT man to try to kick a photographer in the knee.
I'd press charges...

Pac is more than a brother to Buboy so it's natural behavior from a brother/friend to protect his buddy... but he should at least give a public apology to the reporter he hit...
:|.. No excuse. Pac's actual brother was right there... you don't see him kicking him lol.
I hope the photographer sues the **** out of those pieces of ****! They should be banned by the NSAC from any fights since they can't get along with the media. The guy was doing his job! It's ok for other fighters to have pics of them KO'd but somehow Pac deserves special treatment? No matter who it is they should have pics of who got ko'd whether it's Pac, Marquez, Mayweather, etc... It happened for everyone else and Pac is not special he's just another fighter like the rest. They have pics of Roy Jones getting KO'd and he was way better than that hype job. I hope charges are brought against them since they brought that bull**** defamation case against Floyd... I also hope Memo files against Roach.
the photographer already said he isn't going to sue, just wants an apology from koncz and buboy. :lol1: yeah, people thought the mayweathers were reckless.
It's not like they would use those pics to make fun of Pac... this is the internet, people have more respect than that.
Totally wrong on his part for doing his job and taking pictures.... shame on him.
However he held on to those cams pretty well. If it was beer I think he could have made it down without spilling it.
I guess they figured some people on the internet would use those pics to make fun of manny and his fans. I wonder if buboy and koncz beat him up after ricky was out cold?
Your worst post since saturday.

Co-sign.
He probably just lost it in the heat of the moment. Still no excuses for beating someone up for doing their job.

I know even though these guys seem pretty high up on their horses, buboy and Manny are tight.
Been friends since the Philippines and brought him with him to the States and up. Buboy was in Farena's corner I think during the fight.
In all seriousness, dude was mad emotional seeing his best friend KO'd like that and knowing the media.
Hearts in the right place, actions were not even remotely close
TBF the photographer was a cool dude, Kizer told him to call the police and press charges but he just wanted an apology from Fernandez.
