Would fans be interested in a Marquez vs. Cotto fight?

I know the fight has been discussed before as a fantasy fight but I want to know if there is any genuine interest in it. I don't think Cotto deserves such a fight right now but money talks and if JMM does not have a 5th fight against Pacquiao, maybe a Cotto fight could be lucrative enough to interest him. I am not interested in debates about whether or not Cotto is shot. The guy is past his prime and, possibly, going through one of the lowest points in his career but that does not mean that, as a boxing fan, I can not think that a fight between these two could be interesting. Would you be interested in such a fight? If not, why?

I'd like to see it p4p I thought means you should be able to take anyone in and around someone's weight class. Cotto is around JMM's weightclass Two good boxers near the end of their primes. One with something to prove, the other coming off a career best win. It screams fireworks

Not at all, Cotto's too big but would get UD'd by Marquez. But it's not something that any Marquez fan should be interested in. If this isnt the biggest load of chickensh1t ive heard.... Just say it, cotto is too big, and youre afraid he'd eat marquez's soul. But apparently, an atg cant match up with a non-atg who is 'overrated and shot to sh1t', because he has a few extra pounds over marquez. :rolleyes:

nope. cotto has checked out of boxing mentally. he's coming off of two decisive losses. if he beats marquez it will only be because of the size.

Im not a Manny fan nor a Filipino and even a blind person could tell Marquez was on some shiet. So a 40 years old man can ko a ped user, which other physically bigger man cant do? That's right man jmm does not one punch knockout PAC in there fourth fight without juice seeing as there third PAC was more frustrated in that fight then hurt knocked down or even stunned it's suspicious to say the least

Sure, I would like to see it. Marquez and Cotto are almost always in good fights. No doubt it would be an action packed fight. Marquez prefers to fight at 140 and Cotto fights at 154 so the fight won't happen.

JMM is coming out of a KO win over an ATG. Cotto is coming off a beating from a JMW contender and getting shut out and almost stopped by an ATG. sorry Cotto doesn't deserve it, he should fight Canelo It would be a tremendous clash invigorating for the boxing calendar of the upcoming 2013' expect Marquez to continue fighting Until September
