Why is Manny Famous? Boxing or because he's Asian. **BANNED***

OK so i'm in a fight with my friend and i truly believe that the fact he is Asian is not the only reason he is famous. I hope that's not true. Because what people are justifying is being an open racist. I believe he is famous because he is a good boxer and a good person regardless of all the back drama etc. He gives the fans in a way whet they want to see Ko'es and high action paced fights. My friend who is Asian (i believe all people are human first and foremost) Says it's the major component to his popularity. which to is sad, Manny has appeal that Anyone can relate to and it's not just because of his skin colour.

popularity has nothing to do with nationality. skilled people has cross over appeals everywhere whether it be in science, engineering, sports, entertainment, etc. a guy like pacquiao is what you could call a world citizen. same way you could look at tyson, ali, tom cruise, celine dion, bill gates, steve jobs, michael jordan, etc. :bigeyes:

Not because he's Asian. He came up through the weights with a good rivalry, good story, had the DLH fight and then had a new popular rival to keep him relevant and fought some of that rivals opponents, while also keeping his rivalry with Marquez.

hes extra popular in asia bcuz hes asian. in the rest of the world hes famous despite it. at the end of the day he wouldnt be anybody anywhere without boxing.

Definitely only famous because he's Asian. Loads of people have won titles in 8 weight classes and not become famous. the beatles became popular because they were asian..

uhmm.. no. Manny had to come up in boxing the hard way. he earned his fame through exciting fights. usually asians aren't that popular in boxing. pacquiao changed that. this is a stupid question, honestly.
