Marquez has Pacquiao 4x, Barrera, Gainer, John, Casamayor, and Diaz Misleading list because you named only people b- hop beat but when mentioing marquez you mentioned people he lost to aswel. Outside of that 1 win over a declining Pac who was coming off a loss, marquez doesnt have any other great win. The next best would be over a washed up Barrera who floored and outlanded Marquez and Lederman had Marquez losing. Outside that, past it Csa maybe? Hopkins has more ins over prime fighters so he ranks higher.

I prefer Juans style over Bernards. Even though Juan wants to counter he doesn't run to set that senerio up, he boxes! Bernard was fine earlier in his career but the way he choose to perform in the past 8 to 9 years does nothing for me! The guy became a boring fighter! Ray.

B-Hop simply gets wayyyy too much hate. In this day & age, B-Hop was actually the atg that was cherrypicked. He was supposed to be Tito's stepping stone to Rpy Jones. Peaple forget that. He was supposed to be ko'd by Pavlik, people forget that. He had no business challenging Tarver. (Who was the 1st to wreck the great Roy Jones). People forget that. He won a major world title at 46, beating a real world champ. Bernard Hopkins is the greatest active fighter,period. Marquez has an argument imo of being the second greatest active fighter. I like fighters. The guys that fight the best. Yes Marquez lost to Floyd, but he ko'd Pacman, widely considered the greatest active fighter before the ko. He's fought them both & the fact is he was handicapped against them both fighting them in their weight class 2 above his own, that's great. Daring to be great win or lose. They are supposed to be greater than him, yet they ducked each other while he fought them both. How can boxing fans ignore the truth. He fought them both, handicapped & achieved greatness with his destruction of Pacman. IMO replacing Pacman as the 2nd greatest active fighter, right behind B-Hop.

The Freddie Norwood fight .... whatever, I can't comment, as I haven't seen the fight. But, the Chris John fight I have seen. JMM CLEARLY won that fight no less than 116-112. That decision was completely fixed. Chris John got beat. They robbed Marquez blind. Period.

Maybe Jones beat him clearly but not Calzaghe and Taylor. And Marquez was dominated by Mayweather so he's not arguably undefeated. Mayweather fight doesn't count Floyd cheat, he didn't respect the catch weight.

Put it this way. We're 2 weeks removed from Marquez's greatest achievement and Hopkins lost his last 2 fights and is still winning handily. If it was the other way around Marquez wouldn't have 1 vote.
