Hatton lost
Cotto lost
Pacquiao lost
These were the top guys at one time it's a new era for the Wards and the Broners the Alverezs even the Guerreros of the boxing world
Yeah there's been a changing of the guard with Pac and Cotto losing and Ward, Canelo and Broner bursting onto the scene in the last couple years. Yet Floyd is still on top, was there before Pac rose up, is still there after Pac's decline. That says something.
He fought once in '09, once in '10, once in '11, and once in '12. How hard is it to face a physical decline when your body isn't being put through the constant wear-and-tear of training/fighting? Father Time never loses, but he's definitely having a problem beating Mayweather. I really think Floyd will retire with his 0 still intact. He'll beat Canelo/Guerrero and then probably retire.
But Floyd is still number one

Floyd is still number one and going strong.
Cotto fought Trout, and Pac fought Bradley. They could go a step further and make Cotto/Canelo and Pac/Rios. They are still viable and can pass on their fan-bases by rubbing their shine on the next era of boxers. Hopefully, Marquez does the same and fights Bradley.
But Floyd is still number one... Its really the same ish seeing as Pac was considered by many to have lost the previous Marquez fights anyway... >__>...
