I've been watching brooks past 4 or 5 fights and seeing him progress along the way and its just good to see he finally gets a shot at Alexanders IBF title but is this a bad fight for Kell based on the styles and where he is at in his career please leave your thoughts.
boring? maybe...quitter? yes....but he's ok for the sport...IMO his loyalty to his trainer is whats hurting him...sounds crazy to put "LOYALTY" in a negative light but dude needs a new general in his corner
I agree and been saying for the longest, that under Cunningham Alexander had not improved..
Should be a decent fight..If Brook is aggressive the fight might even be exciting..Neither guy is all that impressive, but Devon being more battle tested I believe will be the difference...
I can see Brook winning the fight, but I don't think he's good enough to win it convincingly which is what he's going to have to do to get the decision. Also with Brook I worry about the step up in class, his best win is a UD against Matthew Hatton.
He won't knock Alexander out, his power is overrated.
Devon is a good fighter, and hard to pin down. Plus he has improved since the bradley fight.
Brook is a bit flat footed, and has not got huge power. This could definititly be brooks coming out party though, and i hope he does it.
Kell has a great chance anyway and i dont feel as if there is many things going against brook apart from the judges and maybe the clinching of alexander could maybe takes it toll on brook and slow him down
I look at Brook as more of a boxer than a puncher guys, I feel he will execute his jab and catch alexander coming in as you will see in kell brooks previous fights he likes to counter with the jab to stay safe from opening himself up when he sees an opportunity to land
I see Alexander beating up Brook while winning every round. Brook is a big puncher but he waits too much, it's gonna benefit Alexander's hyperactive style. Alexander by shut out.
Mostly agree, not sure about a shut out though.
I see it being similar to Alexander/Maidana, but I think Brook is a little more well rounded as a boxer than Maidana. 116-112 Alexander kind of score card, maybe.

it's a 50/50 fight, Brook is a good combination punch and extremely quick. Devon is also quick but is slick as well.
My biggest worry for Brook is how he tends to gas down the straight in rounds 8-12
the sad thing is devon doesnt know that he's killing us with his boringness in the ring. dan rafael should tell him that. he has a good resume but pleaseeeeeeee. your 3 months training dont mean anything if u throw like 5 punches per round and clinch 20 times.
That would be a crazy card for May 4th, Also no ones really been saying anything about paul malignaggi's WBA title or who he should defend it to, maybe Tim Bradley who knows haha 2 Non punchers

Winner should fight Guerrero on the (presumably) May 4th PPV that Canelo is gonna fight on, winner of that fight vs the winner of whoever Floyd is supposedly fighting in February
Devon is a boring ass quitter that boxing would be better off without.

It is an interesting fight, probably won't be very exciting but it is a fight between a reasonably top guy and a up and comer so that isn't ever really a bad thing. If Brook wins he could be on to some big things if Alexander wins well he will get to keep his position and may find his way into a big fight so the fight is pretty meaningful.
