Kazuto Ioka is fighting Jose Alfredo Rodriguez on Dec.31 in Osaka Japan for the vacant WBA light flyweight title.
I can't remember seeing Rodriguez fight but it looks like he has fought some decent competition. Ioka should take this one and if he does it would be Grady if the WBA made Ioka the mandatory challenger to Gonzalez.
i dont get it, why doesnt he fight gonzales whos been to japan before, or even rossel who beat rodriguez
ive seen rodriguez fight twice, he has bad defense and you would expect such a stocky small fighter to apply pressure and get inside but he's very inactive
ioka should have no problems
Ioka is really impressive for someone off his age and so little fights.Thats a good bill Uchiyama fighting on it too
IMO his resume is even better than Rigo's. It's not like the strawweight division has ever been deep but he's fought two world champions and unified the WBC and WBA belts in only 10 fights. All the fighters he's faced have had winning records with the exception of his first two fights. Ioka is definitely one of the most promising young boxers in the sport.
