That's how freaking jaded we as boxing fans are from past decisions, we have to sit on pins and needles every time a decision needs to be announced where a lesser known fighter was clearly the winner. I think Trout's body language also expressed that as well, like he was thinking "these mothafowkas better not try to rob me".
Guess it really does help having Al Haymon as your adviser...
I thought he would get robbed, Hopkins stated the same thing on the Box Nation feed when he was commentating for the fight. He said the judges were taking too long with those cards, said he felt Trout won and that it's never a good thing when you have a clear victory but they take awhile with the scorecards. Had me kind of worried for a sec, haha.
At first I thought he would automatically get robbed but then I was reminded that he was with Al Haymon and I realized than no Al Haymon fighter ever got robbed...
interesting....if Garcia-Khan had went to the cards I was thinking Khan would get the decision no matter what...Mayweather-Khan was a hot topic at the time...anyway, very interesting fact there in the bold!!
Yes. When I heard the scores, that was what came to my head. The facial expression by Trout indicated to me that he was under the same impression.
Yep, same here. I thought Trout won but I wasn't expecting him to get a wide decision. I like Cotto but I was relieved to hear the decision go to Trout.

I have seen the fight and no way does Cotto deserve a draw, The last two rounds made the fight absolutely impossible for the judges to take it away from trout.
I felt the fight was a draw or a very very close Trout win. so I expected they give the fight to Cotto by a small margin (or maybe make it a draw).
I just don't see how people can have it a draw, I think it was a pretty decisive win for Trout (8-4). I respect your score card, the problem I have with it is that Trout won the last two rounds big and nobody can dispute that. That means Cotto would have had to have a 6-4 lead finishing up the 10th in order for it to be a draw, which is completely absurd IMO.
