Khan has to win to revive this career - watched a interesting documentary on Khan last night on ITV4.
Hope he can win this handsomely.
I rewatched the Maidana fight and am baffled as to how he took MM's shots but crumbled under Garcia's punches.
Khan seemed to be in great shape vs Garcia...
If you look at him compared to Ariza conditioning, he was way too muscular up top with Tabares. That would mean he'd have to compensate with less leg muscle so his base would be compromised. Tabares trained him to look good sure, but he wasn't balanced out, like when Ariza trains him.
Khan needed to have less upper body muscle and more leg muscle. But Tabares had him lifting weights because he's used to training heavyweights, specifically David Haye, where making weight isn't a primary concern.
If the unthinkable happens and Khan loses, he's retiring.
doubt it. khan still talks of himself as if he's a prospect, so i don't see him hanging them up any time soon. if he does somehow manage to lose this, though, they really ought to start matching him more carefully, because a couple more garcia/prescott style knock-outs will leave him with brain damage. it's not like he has that many brain cells to spare in the first place.
I have to be honest I havent got a clue who Molina is or anything about him. So I can't comment on who wins. But to the fight proffesor above saying his new trainer might fix his defense. You have to realise he said Roach did that. Until he got laid out by Garcia, he was still claiming Roach had turned him into an unstoppable force.
This is very true.
What will be more telling is how Khans balance is, which i understand is what Virgil has been working on, also if Khan bides his time and times his punches and obviously to see what defensive aspects they have worked on and can he listen and learn.
He was outboxing Garcia, so i dont think Molina stands a chance other than to look for a knock out punch, it is the best time to knock out Khan. He will be unsure what to do under pressure, revert back to his old ways or to stick to the new tactics theyve been working on, particularly what he does when his legs wobble.
First time I'm ever betting on Khan, and he better fuckin win lol
I trust that Virgil Hunter will turn his career around and make him fight smarter. He'll make him a more complete fighter.
Molina is no threat and Khan's team knows it. Khan wins easily, probably by TKO.
Hopefully then he starts believing in his own hype again and signs his death warrant against Lucas Matthysse.

Maidana's power is overrated IMO, and Garcia caught Khan off-guard. The punches you don't see are the most hurtful.
Anyway, Khan should win handily.. if he struggles, he should seriously consider his future in boxing.
