I really think that Johnson has a great chance in this fight if he comes in shape. I was just watching the Vitali - Johnson fight and in the first couple rounds it he looked ok, good reflexes and movement etc. He also also has fought a higher level of opposition that Fury.
Fury is no where near the boxer Vitali is, and he doesn't have as much patience in attacking which could play into Johnson's hands.
Equally Fury looks in great shape recently so is a slightly unknown quantity in that respect, he could turn into a beast now hes shed the extra pounds. He is also 2-3 inches taller than Vitali, who dwarfed Johnson, which could make it difficult to land decent punches.
Very interesting fight, i can see both struggling to land early on. I can see Fury wearing him down with his extra size, but can also see Johnson confusing Fury with headmovement, defence and taking advantage of a frustrated Fury. excellent to see two heavyweights who have a chance of winning in the ring together. How do people see this going?
Fury played it safe in the end but the result was never in any real doubt and that was all that mattered for Fury. I doubt Vitali lost any sleep though.
Wow kinda drunl now but showed my friends this fight... shouldnt have! tried to explain that i prefered the lower weights. Got mu prediction completely wrong, thought it would be boring then fun but it was opposite.
Both looked ****ed by tound 7.
fury is the future of heavyweight boxing?
Dominated a former title-challenger. Solid win for Fury.
former title challenger??Johnson didnt do jack sh1t id call challenging against Vitali, only time he showed any fight was after the bell rang
I suppose Fury is really long and knows how to exploit it but Johnson has to do better than that.
If a respectable but fairly modest heavy like Firtha could get to Fury surely Johnson could. What is frustrating is that the bloke has nuclear fallout shelter for a chin - he could take more risks, surely?
Johnson might have been ranked in the top 10 but he didn't fight like it. If i didn't know who he was i'd swear he'd have more losses than wins.
by who? the statue ranking association?
Fury fought a smart fight through-and-through and dominated from the opening bell. I would've liked to see the KO but Johnson was just too much in survival mode the whole fight and it wasn't meant to be.
