A very entertaining high-action inside fight with some fantastic rounds, but Berto's post-fight comments blaming the referee for everything were not very sportsmanlike. The ref actually did a pretty decent job, separating them at the right moments, admonishing both fighters for clinching, low blows, rabbit punches, etc. Berto lost because Guerrero was able to hurt his eye in the second round then impose his mauling gameplan from thereon in. There's nothing the ref could have done about it, and I thought Berto came off as a sore loser, IMO.
ref probably didn't hear the bell, the crowd was going nuts.
I do agree that the warnings for the punches behind the head in the early rounds were all directed towards Berto but as the second half of the fight went on both fighters got admonished in equal amounts i feel.
and there really wasn't much wrong with the knockdown.
I think he heard, and just went braindead for a sec. He very clearly heard the final 10 second warning, as he clearly yelled to both fighters '10 seconds left'. He knew there were 10 or less seconds left, and wasnt even in the cottdamn picture as berto was getting clocked left and right. I think he just went braindead for a sec and thought his job was done. I mean fuk, everybody else heard the bell and was rushing into the ring to stop it. That was just inexcusable for berto to get hit multiple times clean like that, wasnt even trying to protect himself....the fight was over.
Most of gyerreros warnings were for holding, and his ****s straying a little low. Fair enough, but let the guys fight. Youre either gonna put a stop to it by taking a point away, from.both fighters simultaneously if need be, or jutlst get out of the way and let them fight. He kept getting involved for no reason, just a dumbass warning to which both fighters went back at it. And after berto got a hard warning for hitting behind guerreros head on the inside, when guerrero would turn his head when berto was punching, by and large he stopped that punch the rest of the fight.
Loll, and guerrero holding the back of bertos head and clocking him clean 4 times for the knockdown was not clean, but whatever. It was a good fight and war of attrition.
Youre a clown if you think the ref did a decent job.
Brb, hold back of bertos head and clock him 4 times for the knockdown....
Brb, warn berto when guerrero would turn his head on the inside when berto was punching...
Brb, letting guerrero go hog wild long after the final bell...
You either let them fight on the inside, or you dont. Take points awayy, or shut the f up and let them fight. Granted the ref did warn guerrero tlat times aswell, but what the fuk was the point to getting in the way?

typical whiners, he always have excuses. Go take some PED's and comeback again.
Berto and Gerarro are terrible could care less who won.
But seriously, that was a terrible ref and if you think different you really has some massive bias. Berto got what he had coming taking PED's but horrendous officiating. Those are the facts.

With that saidd, i want to clarify that im not trying to take anything from guerrero. He was a warrior who showed alot of heart and outworked berto. Just saying, the ref was fukn annoying.

i dont know wtf berto and kellerman where talking about.
berto was the one holding robert's right hand all night, hitting behind the head all night, and face guarding all night.
im glad robert answered back when berto started going off on his list of excuses.
