De la hoya being de la hoya. Lame and clueless.
as hbo pointed out, camacho really only fought one fighter with both being prime, a couple when he was past it. I certainly remember when Oscar fought Camacho. Camacho came down from 160 for a ww fight and certainly like a past it and drained fighter.
he moved up to fight a shot to **** roberto duran and a shot to **** SRL. make your own opinions and dont follow what hbo says
@king_naj1 excuse me! But we are making all these fights happen we are bringing boxing back one fight at a time.— Oscar De La Hoya (@OscarDeLaHoya) November 23, 2012

stupid thing to say regardless of who he's talking about oscar fought a lot of guys past their primes as well. It's the nature of the sport.
Pretty much, I think he is talking about Pac but like you pointed it's the nature of the sport from Marciano beating Joe Louis to camacho beating Ray Leonard to Oscar himself beating Chavez to Pac destroying Oscar himself.

How was DLH ranked #2 before he fought Whitaker? Whitaker was in the P4P, that I do remember clearly...as for which spot..not sure. I don't care how great you are, you're not always going to look great in every fight.
It is impressive, he beat the **** out of Hernandez...the same Hernandez Floyd fans make a big deal about. I wonder if Oscar was black, boyyyy he'd be Sugar Ray Robinson status by now I bet.
Oscar fought for a world title in his 12th fight son and stepped it up after. But yet Vargas LOST....Oscar kept on winning till he got beat by Trinidad(which many people thought he won). :bottle:
Only somebody as ignorant as you would think Oscar isn't compared to Ray Robinson because of his race. The fact that you would even compare Oscar to Ray Robinson speaks for itself.Whitaker fought Jose Luis Ramirez, Vargas fought Trinidad and you compare that to Oscar fighting Jimmy Bredahl for a meaningless "belt" at that time? LOL
As selected by The Ring magazine in the April 1997 issue.
Pound For Pound Heavyweights Cruiserweight
1.Roy Jones Jr.
2.Oscar De La Hoya
3.Pernell Whitaker
4.Felix Trinidad
5.Ricardo Lopez
6.Junior Jones
7.Kostya Tszyu
8.Terry Norris
9.Evander Holyfield
10.Mark Johnson
Oscar was favored to beat Whitaker. It was expected. Stop trying to make your hero look better than he was.

laughable post from a fan of Froid Pedweather. :lol1:
Hard to be a fan of a COWARD.
Frank suckdicks whole life is laughable. If he's not on NSB wielding his mighty Flowmo shield he's in his bed dreaming about filling the space in mayweathers pooper.
Ho-ya talking about Manny...but why is he using this Macho situation to come at Manny sideways?!?....see, thats why he disgusts me sometimes...ho ass dude!!...smh
Both Mayweather and Pacquiao beat Oscar. Why can't he pay his respect to Camacho without trashing anyone. Oscar runs his tweeter to much. Oscar had his share of hand picked easy fights when he was champion.
At the end of '96 this was the p4p list:
Roy Jones Jr.
Oscar De La Hoya
Pernell Whitaker
Felix Trinidad
Ricardo Lopez
Junior Jones
Kostya Tszyu
Terry Norris
Evander Holyfield
Mark Johnson

Whitaker got dropped after subpar performances against Rivera and Hurtado. I thought the first Rivera fight could have gone either way and I think most knew he needed a KO to beat Hurtado or he would have lost on the cards.
He's talking about Pacquiao. Still a ****ed up thing for Dlh to say about a fighter who says looked up to you.

J ust look at a young Oscer...He beat past prime Chavez, Whitaker & Camacho within 1-2 years.
In how many fights? Oscar had less than 25(give or take) fights when he fought Chavez/Whitaker. Top it off Whitaker was in the P4P best in the world...ranked 1 or 2. So whoever beats Mayweather/Pac now shouldn't get credit? Better yet name me someone with 25 fights or less that could beat either of those two.
Whitaker was not ranked 1or 2 pound for pound at that time .It was Roy Jones and Delahoya .Oscar was also favored to win because anybody with any boxing sense knew Whitaker was on his way out and looked like crap against Hurtado in his previous fight .
Also, there's nothing impressive about Oscar's number of fights considering that Whitaker fought for a world title with around 14 pro fights . Also look when Vargas stepped up to fight prime Trinidad. Both far earlier than Oscar .
