AB's got the goods. If Marquez could make 140 effectively, I think that's an intriguing fight. Maybe Gamboa @ 135? I think Matthyse would be a challenge for him @ 140. Broner just continues to get better.
agree. broner is scary good.
he ducked under a right jab with his own jab, then shot a hook over the top of demarco's jab basically before it got home. i must have watched that sequence ten times this morning.
his talent is unreal. true speed and enough power to break down a very large and very durable LW. i can see him having a very long and very good career.
he's probably the best young talent in boxing right now.
I agree, Broner has the highest ceiling of any current figher in the game right now. What's scary is that he's getting better with every fight. I think people are letting they're dislike for the kid cloud their judgement. Guzman and Khan favored to beat AB? Haha really?
I favor him over the top LWs (Burns, winner of Vasquez/Gesta, winner of Abril/Bogere). I think Broner vs. the top LWWs (Garcia/Matthysse/Marquez/Rios, winner of Guzman/Khabib) are 50-50 fights. However, I'd pick him to beat Rios and Guzman/Khabib.
This, not even sure why some people are questioning it.
All of those things don't equate to a victory. Khan was faster, stronger and more experienced than DG and that didn't turn out too well.
At 135 nobody is a challenge. Broner would more than likely KO every champion at 135. Gamboa would be a good fight but until he fights over 126 I'm picking Broner. 140 could be challenging. I think Broner beats Garcia, Khan, Judah and Rios but struggles with Marquez, Lucas and Peterson.
I haven't seen anyone who could deal with this kid, he's outstanding! Ray

Lucas would destroy him. I think Garcia beats him too & would give Guzman & Ajose a shot.
Khan maybe, if he can avoid a tear up.
these are straight up great jokes...
Yes, but given that you're saying Juan Manuel Marquez "can't do anything, at all" to trouble Broner, you're not in a great position to preach.
i think you're reachin a little bit. JMM is kinda small and kinda old, and yes hes a fantastic fighter, but at this stage, he isnt gonna do much to trouble broner. sorry. it doesnt matter if broner is much younger and less experienced. JMM does not look good against guys like that. he just doesnt
bradley comes to mind. maybe swifty, cant decide yet, thats about it
lmao @khan beating broner
rofl @rios beating broner
some people, Im not sure what they watch when they watch boxing, for real...

Gamboa and Matthysse would present him the most trouble.
Gamboa's angles and movement would present a problem. Matthysse is nowhere near Broner's level on overall skill, but he can take a punch and would just keep coming.
Broner isn't quite as good moving backwards.

Unfortunately, this is also a large dose of truth. Ever since the ponce scare, Broner has been matched very carefully.
I'm also not reading too much into Broner's recent fights.
Broner put in an excellent performance last night for sure.
But when your opponent only decides to move his head in the 6th round, doesn't circle away from the hook the whole fight, and on and on then it doesn't tell me much.
None of the top guys at 140 would fight that way against him (except Rios). So I wouldn't be surprised if many of them give him serious problems if not win.
Fair point.
We'll just have to wait and see if the fight happens, though I doubt it will. I think Broner will fight at least once more at 135 before moving up, and I doubt he'll be eager to take on the task of Matthysse after just entering the division. He'll most likely pick a creampuff to test the waters on.
140 just got a lot more interesting, though.

RIOS. Garcia. JMM. matthysse. Khan. Bradley. I think they will all have their chances and Broner will grab the best opportunity given. Khan could easily get the fight if he comes back on top since he's a draw and has the balls to fight anybody too. Khan can live his mayweather dream against broner.
