Lad's a certified beast. His conditioning, intensity and commitment to the art of body punching is one to admire.Quite scary to see a guy sustain that level of intense aggression without showing the slightest hint of fatigue.Guy brings a significant amount of volume in his output, but he never wastes his punches and always throws well-placed,damaging shots.Very polished, but still incredibly exciting to watch.
And :hail: Zaleta for his retard-like tenacity.
On the contrary,he's quite happy with the comparison:

I was a big fan of Margarito at his best, but he was not as accurate and did not put the consistent vicious leverage on his punches as Santa Cruz. Maybe it won't look so good against the very best, but right now Santa Cruz is a crazy efficient and textbook puncher, which is amazing for as often as he throws.
I cant believe he said Margaritos uppercut was a thing of beauty!
I cant take the stupidity in these people.....lol
 Sure man. Sure!!
Just like Cotto's left hook to the body, Margarito's uppercut was a thing of beauty. Not many people in boxing threw them like he did.

The guy is nothing like Plasterito. Santa Cruz is alot more technical.
And hey Pochos, Take a look at my signature.
worst post in NSB in the last couple of days....
lol Margarito has left us with quite a few of his "boxing offspring"; Rios, Angulo, and now Santa Cruz.
Lol true margarito was a boss:boxing: more people need to be like margarito warriors who just dont give a fck like the guys youu mentioned
and he sucks just like Margs you guys might think he is going to be a future ATG i sure hell dont dont get me wrong he will get some belts and thats about it
Really impressed with him skill wise. He doesn't hit hard enough to make that style work at the very top though.
Yea his punches are snappier then they are hard like let's say Marg or angulo
He will have a huge problem rising in weight imo

No comparison, Santa Cruz right now is tougher than Plasterito ever was.
The fact that he has stopped two iron chinned puerto ricans (though old) in Carita and Morel says a lot. Granted I dont think he is that powerful but he is as tough as they come.
Santa Cruz>everybody not named Shisuke Yamanaka at 118.
I agree and even like this guy.....should not dishonor his name with a cheat Margairto"peeleft:though.
Unless he brings mini plaster on the scene.
