Sometimes you really got to step up and send a past-prime fighter the door. Morales-Zaragoza.... Garcia-Morales II.... Marciano-Louis... DLH-Pacquiao... Gives the older guy one latt cash out and the younger guy gets a little of his shine. Fights like this aren't pretty but they're a necessary element. Quillin already had THAT fight though...time to fight top middleweights

Make it happen,don't get in the ring if you don't want to get knocked out.I agree. For some reason Taylor just does not have it anymore. He was very good years back when he beat Hopkins but went downhill after Pavlic and can't take much of a punch anymore. He wants to be on top again and be the middleweight champ again. He can't get there by fighting handpicked easy guys. Let him fight Quillen. If he wins he is well on his way to the middleweight tittle. If he gets KOed, as I think he will, he can make a choice to retire or hang around and make some money fighting handpicked guys and getting KOed again if he fights another top guy.

Im not sure why DiBella started promoting him again and now he wants to do this to him (if this fight goes thru)? Not cool. Sometimes you gotta put greed/money aside and think about the fighters. this is a set up, dibella gets some cash out for Taylor then Quillin fights Martinez and gets KO'd I think. You see there are idiots that just watch what ever fight they put on and they will see Peter as a beast after this, then he gets a following then he gets fed to the lions

Taylor was and still is one of my favorites. I'm also a huge fan if Quillin. That being said, please don't make this fight. Taylor shouldn't be in there with a young, hungry heavy hitter like Quillin. I don't know if I'd watch.

Im not mad about the match up cause this isn't even confirmed yet soooo. Right now Im just worried about Taylor's health. :nonono: What I'm saying is, the match-up shouldn't even be contemplated. Nobody should be thinking, "Hmm...I wonder how Quillin/Taylor would play out, I think I'd like to see that match-up above all the others." I know I'm in the minority but I thought Taylor looked good in his last fight. He seemed fit and actually threw right hands behind the jab, haven't seem that in years. He beat a LMW with 15 losses (11 by stoppage). Also, it's not his skills that I'm worried about, it's his defense (which was never that good) and his punch resistance. The fact that he came back from brain damage is also not a good sign. I'd rather see Taylor against a ranked/relevant MW contender.

I didn't see his last fight and I thought he looked alright vs Truax but that's not enough cause once you touch his chin it's MAN DOWN! And with Quillin's power, I don't think JT would be getting up.

N'Jikam was basically gifted the WBO title. That being said, he was a solid opponent, and Taylor is most definitely a step back in the wrong direction. I'm a fan of faded/shot fighters getting chin-checked, but Taylor is one of those fighters that can't afford to get KTFO again. Doesn't matter wether N'jikam was gifted or not. The fact is, Quillin went from fighting nobodys to fighting Njikam. Huge step IMO where he showed his inexperience but you sounded like you were trying to **** on Quillin.
