Why is it that Manny gets a pass on fighting Martinez, Cotto, and Canelo. And Dulorme get a pass on not want to fight at 154 but Floyd doesn't. Floyd never came in over 150 so he is small but yet people want him to fight middleweights but other guys get a pass why is this? And on the 50 and Floyd beef I think it's legit. I think it won't go far though.
Go ahead and link me up. But basically, Pac didn't move up high enough for you. It's impressive your standards for him are at least 1.6 times higher than for the next best, and much higher than that vs the rest
Excuse me, it was after the Cotto fight that he said he wouldn't surpass '47, but guess what, he did.

But basically he didn't move up high enough? If that's the case, neither did Mayweather.
He also said he wouldn't go past '47 after fighting Clottey, you know, a fight that happened a few years back, before the Margs fight, at '50. I'll give more background if needed.

You've seen Pac Margarito? It was a boxing match a few years back, pretty good watch, for a bogus vacant belt at 150. I'll give more background if needed. After the fight Pac says: The weight was too much, won't be fighting this heavy again.
So he moves back down to his 7th weight class, a world record. But props to you for fantasy matching Canelo with another tiny welter

Funny you mention that because this fighter that the midget had on the run just competed at '54 in his last fight, so what's the hold up for the midget fighting Canelo?

Or the midget coulda been less threatening and not put Mosley on the run, like Floyd and Canelo obliged with class. Could have even failed to drop Oldsley, or get rocked himself twice hard, that woulda made his win more impressive for sure.

So how come nobody is calling for him to fight Martinez, Canelo, Cotto, or anybody at '54 now? Those who have actually followed the sport over the decades can see through the farce that is.
For sure. A few years back everybody was jumping up to their 8th weight class, and much beyond.
You think $600k mattered that much to Mayweather? The mere fact that you buy into the whole Money moniker and claim that's Mayweather's motivation lets me know that you just started watching boxing when pacquiao came along.
And no, it didn't take skills to punch a fighter who wasn't punching at all or some slow-plodding face-first fighter . And even though you keep bringing up topics for a different thread, if the guy had skills, he'd have known how to cutoff the ring instead following an old-faded Mosley around in circles all fight long. Then again, I shouldn't expect you to know these things, you are you after all.

Clottey was punching at Judah, and Cotto also. Tho could done more punching here, FMJ had him beating Cotto no problem. Wonder why he shut down so fast that one time, stomach cramps?
If he could make weight then WHY DIDNT HE?! dont spout some bull about him 'not wanting to'. It cost him cold hard cash to not make weight, In fact your version makes Floyd seem worse! What kind of pr1ck contracts a fight at a weight if he knows he doesnt intend to make it? especially against a fighter moving up two divisions to face him...
in the bold do you not remember me mentioning careful matchmaking earlier? Doesnt change the fact that for a guy his size to beat fighters like clottey, Marg, Cotto, Mosely etc it took SKILL and BALLS to even get in the ring.
Fcuk sake im capitalizing ish now... im going to sleep... Good luck training and fighting.

If you honestly believe that Mayweather couldn't make '44 in 2009, then you haven't been following boxing that long.
There's no question about pacquiao's accomplishments from '22-'30, but to not see what's been going on since his move up to '35, again, it's clear that you are new to the sport.
Couldn't care less when you started, I can tell you've never competed, let alone sparred. Keep condescending, though.

The bolded tells me all i need to know about who im arguing with... Mayweather couldnt make weight, nobody gives away $600,000 if they dont have to, especially 'MONEY' Mayweather.
Accusing me of being a stan then hating on Pac, nice. Hes done some incredible things in his career and the fact that he is the second highest draw in America when hes not even from there speaks volumes.
I dont care how good i am at boxing, I started late. I love doing it though so will carry on despite you thinking i'm no good (honestly bro you cut me deep). And the jabs at my training ability, OUCH! Im not sure how ill carry on knowing that ill never be a better trainer than some random guy who i never met.

Again, you're passing off Mayweather not weighing in at '44 as a fact that he can't make that weight... he chose not too. Just as he chose to fight at '54, despite only weighing in at '51 (after drinking water).
pacquiao was, really? So how come nobody is calling for him to fight Martinez, Canelo, Cotto, or anybody at '54 now? Those who have actually followed the sport over the decades can see through the farce that is. It's not because he's too small to compete at '54, it's because he's a terrible boxer who would get exposed fighting bigger guys that actually know how to box.
As for boxing... I know you're not great, it's rather obvious. I can guarantee that I'm landslides better than you, and if you trained anybody, I guarantee my fighters would be landslides better than yours. Next time, keep your rhetoric to yourself, then you wouldn't seem so pathetic.

wow im literally arguing with a retard...
I dont agree that because has fought at welterweight that doesn't makes him a small welterweight... He could conceivably make 250lbs but that doesnt make him a superheavyweight boxer... The FACTS are that only a few fights ago he made 143, Meanwhile Mayweather couldnt make 144 (if he could make it he would have dont be so naive, those two pounds he came overweight cost him $600,000).
Also i dont agree that there are double standards, when Pac moved up to 150 he was sh1tted on for not fighting others at 154... So now the same is happening to Mayweather. Mayweather vs Canelo, Martinez (at 154) and others are great match ups for the fans. Thats why we ask for him to fight them.
Btw i only mentioned i boxed because you didnt seem to think that i did... I dont intend to 'bet on it' because im not all that great... Evidently neither are you because you're on the same forum as me arguing about people who did make it, rather than being the one that people argue over...

According to Keith Kizer, executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, the bout was supposed to be fought at a catchweight of 144 lbs. When Mayweather Jr. weighed in two pounds over the contracted weight, he was forced to pay Marquez $600,000 ($300,000 per pound)
mayweather bought marquez off so he could cheat. despicable stuff blackmailing someone into taking a fight at a weight he didn't know he would be fighting at a day before the weigh in. marquez should have walked but the millions of dollars was too hard to turn down.
I don't disagree with any of that. The contracted weight was '44, but in order for Mayweather to also face a penalty from the commission, he would have had to fail to make the welterweight limit, per the contract.
Cheers to JMM for going through with the fight.
Too bad the contract was changed a few days before the fight in order to allow Mayweather to weigh-in at the welterweight limit without facing a fine from the NSAC.
Again, it's not that he couldn't make the weight, he just didn't care to do it. This doesn't strengthen your argument at all, in fact, you're moving the goal posts. If you're complaining about Mayweather not fighting the best competition at '54, then you can't be in this thread saying pacquiao is a small welterweight when his last bout was at '47 and four of his last five have been at '47 or higher.

sorry, didnt look as good as usual...
and to the bolded bit, seriously?! Just because im not blindly obsessed with Floyd doesnt make me a hater. I call it how i see it.
This is how I can tell you've never boxed before and are new to the sport.
Haha and im the stan? If he didnt want to fight at a catchweight, then why sign to fight at a catchweight??
And the catchweight for marquez was 144 he came in over that... Pac came in at 143 against Marquez.
