shame about witter having this......bitterness because he was a very good fighter. he won every fight but one for years and that was against an excellent zab judah over 12. gave a very good account of himself in that fight but faded to obscurity after. i can remember brendan ingle announcing him as the winner in one fight because the ref fvcked off bored with it all! that shows his popularity if you ask me. he was close stable mate of naseem hamed at the time but when hamed fell, witter never got the chance to shine and its a shame. however, if they had fought then, (hatton) witter by points but now, no fvckin chance. even after a lay off, ricky would batter him because witter is well done. we can all see whats going on here, witter is probably skint so, if i were him i would be nice and engaging/respectful and maybe grovel because to get a fight with ricky this is what hes gonna have to do. he should know by now ricky does not like opponents to be like this. im going for a large poo.

Hatton was always going to be witters biggest payday and he's bitter because the only time it made sense to make it happen was when frank warren had them both and passed on it. By the time witter brought something to the table , a paper title , hatton was making 20x wat witter was fighting the urangos and castillos of the world!

Hatton is in deep considering the circumstances. I only wish the promoters would see this for what it is and sell it a lot cheaper. The fight is irrelevant now thanks to the ducking ways of Hatton, He had too much to lose by fighting Witter at the time, So we got Michael stewart, Vince philips, Rios, tackie etc and many more south american cabbies..

Witter keeps saying it's a massive fight, but that's the problem, it was never a massive fight. Hatton v Khan is a massive fight and Hatton v Brook a more relevant one. Still, I'd like to see Hatton fight Witter. Why not? i just dont think it does anything for him. even coming off the layoff he should fight someone better than witter. hes not even top 3 on the domestic level and hes way past his prime. witter isnt relevant on the world level, if hatton wanted a fight to go out on it would make prefect sense, but if he really wants to fight top fighters witter is just a waste of time.

Everyone knows Hatton ducked Witter, they were both the top 2 in the division at the time, worldwide, and Hatton ran from him like the wind, even though Witter called him out on live TV several times. Hatton knew he would have been beaten by Witter, plain and simple so he avoided him at all costs. But if they fought now it wouldn't be the same although I still wouldn't mind seeing it.

I never believed Hatton was scared of Witter. Hatton's just a stubborn **** and deliberately refused to give Witter a pay day. Witter would do well to be complimentary to Hatton and be mature...cause if he does this, and manages to beat Gavin, it would give him the best chance of a Hatton showdown.
