I'm no Devon fan but look at the guys resume especially his last 7 fights! Even though some stinked, or where plain robberies and even quits, his fights have been against very decent competition.
To many whining little spoilt brats on this site go fix yourself a sandwich or summin..
He has a decent run of opponents despite clearly losing 3 of them.
And most of the fights weren't considered risks when he took them and look better on paper.
Witter, Kotelnik, Matthysse for example weren't considered risky fights before he fought them and he was heavily favoured to win all 3.
The Bradley said a lot about Alexander but to be fair to the kid he has been in with fire, in Matthysse, Maidana and Bailey, all 3 on the bounce after the Bradley night, guys that can make most guys want out of there.
I'm keeping my mind open on him for now
Ep0x fail...
He is willing to fight the best. You have to respect him for that. But the two gift decisions in his hometown and Cunningham are not helping him recruit cheerleaders.
How about his annoying ass grunting? TS left that one out. :grumble:
Because fighters that win via robbery get no respect from the hardcore fans. Nada. And Alexander has won two big fights he clearly shouldn't have.
Also, boxing fans don't respect quitters, which Devon Alexander also is.
And that all happened in 3 straight fights. :lol1:
It really shouldn't be a mystery why people hate Alexander.

it's not really taking a risk when you know you'll get the decision no matter how you perform.
So he knew he would go the distance against 3 monstrous punchers who he fought???
If Devon fought Matthysse right now (that time Matt won’t well-known but always had the power) I'm telling you most critics would of been calling for Matt by brutal KO.
Ignorance is a dieses.
So many better talent that need TV time
Diego Chavez
Thomas Dulorme
Antonin Decaire
Cesar Cuenca
Claudio Marrero
Gary Russell Jr.
Javier Fortuna
Juan Carlos Burgos
Juan Carlos Salgado
Roman Martinez
Jayson Valez
He lost against Lucas and was given the decision, and he also lost against Kotelnyk and was given the decision. He quit against Bradley and he's boring as shit, I'd rather watch the grass grow.

That would suggest he's 'in on it' and I don't believe that, he is at the mercy of judges and promoters same as any other fighter (Pacquiao included).
The two gifts were hometown decisions but those were the only two fights of the last 7 he fought in St. Louis.
I'm not a fan but credit where it's due, he takes on decent opponents and that's good for boxing. It will be interesting to see who he fights next, Brook or Malignaggi.
i hope he fights brook next even tho alexander is boring we will find out how good kel is.if brook could knock him out that would send a statement to the division or its just my wishful thinking
I think most people have just noted that they wouldn't really like to watch him in big fights.
He's a top fighter but basically a spoiler it seems.
I don't want Kell Brook to fight him at all.
I also don't think you should be throwing Bailey into the "decent competition" that Alexander has fought. I'm not denying his willingness to fight good fighters, but Bailey was an opportunity for an easy title grab, nothing more.
