TYSON FURY’S promoter Mick Hennessy has told David Price to forget about a clash between the two unbeaten British heavyweights for now.
Hennessy claims there is more chance of Fury challenging either Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko for one of their four world heavyweight titles than taking on domestic rival Price next year.

You got a bronze at the Olympics?
I know you're sitting on a gold at the para-Olympics.

yeah dude, that's me lifting 301kg without a leg drive nor bench shirt.
fury is ahead of price right now. he is also 5 years younger & has wins over quality international journeymen(firtha & pajkic) & a win over chisora. he's already past the domestic stage. price looks scary good but harrison is his best win followed by sexton & raphael butler. price has skelton next but he's almost 47. he should bring over a guy like gavern or better yet firtha to fight him. firtha is 6'5, 240 & comes to fight. let's see what he does to him. fury also has shown he can get off the canvas & regroup though adversity. price has not had to do any of that yet. let's see how he handles someone who can hit him & there are fighters out there in the states.
I pretty much agree with you on this one. Fury is young, Price isn't. If Price is so good, then why isn't he stepping up already?
it is frustrating to see these fella's fighting cans and waiting for the K2´s to retire. It is obvious that is the plan, same goes to Povetkin.
Price is a novice?
The guy that won a bronze medal at Beijing and has steam rolled through the competition so far, compared to a guy who turned pro as a 6ft9 in-fighter with no jab. Uppercutting himself to the face and losing to McDermott in their first encounter - really makes me wonder how far Fury can actually go?
who hasn't got a bronze? i think i might have a couple of bronzes too lying somewhere there in my garage, don't remember.
Cammarelle?. You for real?
He is 32 years old, slow footed to fault.
Not exactly what I call "interesting"
Don't we have enough horrible boxers in the HW division?
I meant when he was younger. He TKO'd Price and was robbed in London olympics finals, so he LOST and they gave him silver.

The Hype Train is blowing full steam ahead for this match.
..exactly, it's a UK-thing. I am only interested of the challengers. They should all line up to fight the Klitschko's, instead they are just waiting them to retire meanwhile fighting punching bags. Pathetic. Price is already 29, has extended amateur career and what is he doing? fighting the likes of Harrison. Fury instead is young so maybe he'll become something, but his defense is too wide open sometimes.
Who is Fury fighting on Dec 1?
Why is Hennessey taking so long finding an opponent?
They are doing their research, meticulously stewing over a shortlist of bums to find the perfect donkey for Fury to knock over while Channel 5 jump up and down with childish excitement claiming he is the real deal (while counting their cash and howling with evil mad scientist like laughter).
Fury thinks he is the next big thing so he acts that way, oblivious to the how he is being used. Hennessy knows he isn't so he acts the way he does. And Channel 5 certainly know he isn't, I've never seen so much fake one sided punditry from people who are suppose to know about boxing, Al Bernstein is clearly being paid a fortune by Channel 5.
Hennessy knows exactly what will happen if he puts his only cash cow in the ring with Price. Its pathetic self preservation while Fury runs his mouth like a 12yr old girl on Twitter.
For the record books, this appears to be the second time Team Fury has ducked Price.
This is the truth.
The biggest battle Fury can look forward to is the one with the shrink when his mental demons come back again!
Hennessy like said, knows this only 2 well.
More so than most fighters a defeat for Fury will signal the start of a very quick downward spiral so Hennessy will milk that gypo donkey for all he is worth, build up the big fight with Price, he may even get a purse from the Klits given their is no one else for them and then cash in on the Price/Fury fight.
It's about time someone milked the gypos and not the other way round, tax dodging pikey c*nts.

Hennessy must think very little of the boxing public. What he's saying doesn't really make a viable reason not to put these two together. A fight with Price generates huge money, and assuming Fury wins (he doesn't), it won't stand in the way of his World Title shot. But the argument he's putting forward is just pathetic.
As for the TV thing, why not just have a rematch clause on the other channel? First fight at Liverpool Echo on Boxnation, second fight at MEN on Channel 5 or vice versa.
I might get into boxing promotion, if a f**kwit like Hennessy can get away with it anybody can.
I have to agree that Price is getting a bit too much hype considering the calibre of opponents that he steamrolled. Sam Sexton was so much smaller. Audley Harrison was knocked out in 1 punch by Sprott - the only credible opponent Sprott ever stopped.
I like David Price and the way he fights but he's shown vulnerability - getting dropped with a head guard on in the amateurs - and has yet to show he has what it takes to overcome adversity in the pro ranks. It is a facet of his size, lack of competitive fights, but Tyson Fury has a bigger reach and would land that jab cleanly and a few solid shots on Price's chin and at the moment how he would react is unknown.
Let's see Price in with some live opponents before building him up as the next big thing in the heavyweight ranks.
