I understand that he took the fight with the intention of becoming a ppv star after the fight or at least becoming a house hold name. Months later I think it is safe to say that that failed.
Anyway moving on to my main point, in fighting Pacquiao he moved out of one of the hottest divisions boxing has to offer. He could have fought Khan, Garcia, Matthysse, Rios, Juda, Maidana and possibly convince Guerrero into a fight. Fighters like Broner are also no far away from a move up to the 140lb division.
In that division there wouldn't be a shortage of potential match ups. It'd keep him occupied for a good 3 years. Instead he placed himself in a completely dead division where he'd have to rely on pulling fighters up from 140lb or fighting fighters who should be in the 140lb division.
Too many fighters look at Pacquiao ( and Mayweather) as their ticket to stardom when they should instead focus on doing their own thing in a division that is comfortable for them. There's no doubt in my mind that if Bradley continued winning at 140lb he'd have created a well known and respected name.
Not really dude, he popped Pac's nose and mouth up. Pac missed a lot of the punches that looked like they landed but it is what it is. Pac had 10 or more PPV fights, Bradley's first PPV headline. In a rematch, Tim makes him look bad....Pac's team knows this. Pac murdered all these other 'bigger" guys but poor little Timmy, moving up in weight, was able to hang with him and give him a tough fight.
Arum isn't going to sleep on Tim, he will make something happen because he knows Tim will hold out until the contract expires and then go to GBP for the other big fights....he will give Tim a good fight - he can't afford to lose him.
Where you watching the fight with your eyes shut??!! Bradley never landed any meaningful punch throughout the entire fight??!! WTF are you talking about??!!!!
Where else do you expect him to sign up with? He wasn't happy with Gary Shaw; he pissed off GBP when he refused to fight Khan, who offered him his highest pay day at the time. GBP wanted nothing to do with him.
You don't get how these guys work. Golden Boy would sign him in a heartbeat. Shaw would jump at the chance to resign him. $$$ talks.
None of that matters though, because he's set for life and can fight when he feels like.
well like who? top rank is unwilling to negotiate with GBP. bad long term investment, they have nobody.

It was a mistake because he fought Pac at 147. This was the 2nd time he fought at 147, the first time he looked like crap.. Hes too small for 147

Bradley is stepping up and letting Arum know that he is willing to take risks to better his career. Arum doesn't like that and isn't used to it but he will turn it to his advantage.....Bradley is his next Mayweather....he will cave in and give Tim what he wants.......you heard it here first.
Yeah, winning a world title and making your family financially secure for the rest of your life is a bad move.
Bradley turned down Peterson because he thinks it's a waste of time. It's not about money. Jeff Chandler did the same thing back in the day; turned down and easy payday because he didn't respect the opponent enough.
Bradley doesn't need to rush; he's undefeated, got the title, and he's paid.
I woudn't call it a mistake, any 140 pounder would jump at the chance of fighting Pacquiao and Mayweather. It's just that he didn't perform well in the big stage along with the robbery which i don't blame Tim with.
Imo, he should have a reality check and put aside his pride, don't believe in himself that he really did beat Manny Pacquiao and that he deserved better. Fight some top contenders and rack some great performances and he should be back there in no time.

he looked like crap winning every single round versus a undefeated abregu?
Bradley didn't show heart??
And u expected Bradley to what...?? Brawl with Pac?? U need to watch more boxing...
Remember these are PAC fans. They don't like opponents using footwork, head movement, tight defense, a sharp jab, or well timed counters. They're expecting an over the hill, dehydrated, defenseless, sacraficial lamb.
All he has to do is look at his bank account to realize that it wasn't a mistake. Assuming that he has some money smarts, he could retire tomorrow if he wanted to. At the end of the day its all about money.

I'd like to believe Bradley would have tried his hardest to make it an entertaining fight if he hadn't gotten injured.
I think his mentality changed big time when he felt that he wouldn't even be able to protect himself like he wanted when he decided to go to war like he intended. He's not a hard puncher so the element for Pac being willing to war was there. Pac isn't stupid, he knows he's a bit older now, he's not going to battle if he doesn't have to, so he didn't. IDK if Tim would have won but he would have made his name in a good way at least. All he needed was a good performance, made for a great fight and he probably could have gone in his own direction just off that.
It wasn't really a mistake in taking the fight but yeah he is in no mans land right now.

Bradley jogging on national tv pounding his chest yelling,'You ain't th best, I am'! You got to prove to me that you're better then me!
Come fight night...at this pace I'ma get KO if I don't run faster then Mosley.
the mistake bradley made was stinking out the joint with pac.... even in a losing effort, if bradley showed heart and fought it out with pac, people would watch him more
Bradley gave PAC a boxing lesson.
Bradley running and fighting like b!tch = giving PAC a boxing lesson :lol1:.
I wouldn't call it a mistake. More like not seizing the opportunity on the big stage.
If he earned an impressive victory over Pac, we're not even having this discussion.

I think he made over 5 million for fighting Pacquiao and he is better known now than he would have been if he had not fought Pacquiao. He could always go back down to 140 and vacate the not so important WBO 147 pound tittle and tell Arum to get him good fights at 140. Arum may be talking Rios-Pacquiao now but I think Pacquiao might tell Arum he would rather fight Bradley for revenge if he beats Marquez.
