Bar none.
I'm American so of course I have high hopes for Seth Mitchell and Deontay Wilder, but right now Price looks like the next big thing.
He can be a great one if he keeps improving and refining his skills.
But there are some HWs who just seemed to shrug off damage. For example, Oliver McCall... I think he should've been the one with the nickname "Iron" instead of Mike Tyson.
A lot of guys in HW are accused of having weak chins, but isn't it just the nature of the HW division? When these big guys hit you cleanly, you're going down. There are very few boxers who can take big HW hits and recover quickly.
So maybe the better question is which HWs have the best defensive style and are least likely to be hit cleanly.
He looks good but I want to see him against someone who is durable enough to last some rounds so I can get a better idea about his durability and stamina. He has great potential.......
I like Price and have been following him since the amateurs. I do think I would like to see him step up his competition a bit now so we could know more.
I agree. He looks very good.
I'd love to see him get 3 very good fights in 2013. Say his first two fights of the year are guys like Chisora, Chagaev, Fury, Helenius, etc. Than, maybe a David Haye showdown ina years time.
Price looks good, I've heard he has a questionable chin though.
How am I overrating him, all I said is that he has the most potential out of all the up and coming heavyweights.
Do you think there is a better one out there?
Deontay also sparred Audley Harrison to get him ready for David Price (not that it helped any. :lol1:)
Harrison said that he was fast and punched like a mule.
Wilder is getting good experience by sparring with Klitschko but his resume is crap so far compared to Price's.
Didn't know about this; excellent news. Wilder will get an idea of what he should strive for.
I have no hopes for Mitchell outside of making for a few entertaining fights. Lookin forward to his bout with Banks.:boxing:
I am an American too and I thought Price was the best young heavyweight since I first saw him fight about two years ago. Unless he has a glass jaw that I don't know about, I think he is a future champ and a good one.
True about his age. I guess I should have said he is the best of the "up and coming" heavyweights.
Not only does he hit hard as hell but also he has some decent technique to go along with the power.
