I disagree. No one sees it as quitting if a fighter takes a knee and gets right back up and pounds the other guy. Lol the posters on here wouldn't do that! They would fight to the death!

I was at the edge of my seat for the Rios Alvarado but not so much on the Donaire fight till after the 6th maybe!

Plus ... and I know he doesn't care about the opinion of the minions on this forum .... but they woulda just said he was a quitter and not a true Mexican bc he wasn't carried off in a stretcher, personally I wanted to see a standing 8 count from the ref I disagree. Rios Alvarado was exciting, but I don't like the fact that it's supposed to be an eliminator to fight Pacquiao. That's garbage. I doubt either of those guys could even beat Bradley. If he won't fight Rigondeaux, Donaire needs to grab Top Rank by the balls and force a fight with Golden Boy fighters. He's killing his own career by fighting in boring bouts where he has so much natural ability that his opponents don't want to open up, but lacks the boxing knowledge to create his own openings. Overall, I don't think Donaire should be headlining any card. Not against that kind of opposition.

Rios vs. Alvarado lived up to and exceeded by expectations. EXTREMELY disappointed in Nishioka. I've seen him fight before and I have never seen him that timid, confused and lost. He was considering retirement after the Marquez fight and last night I saw a fighter who had retirement on his mind whose goal was to survive. My opinion on Donaire hasn't changed a bit after seeing him last night.

Exactly. The only way that fight could've gone on is if Mike strategically took a knee after that big right landed that first sent him stumbling towards the ropes. Would of bought him some time to clear his head and he wouldn't of got hit with another 4 or 6 conecutive shots. Does he make it out of the rd? Prob not but you never know. That's not his style, ... Ridiculous, Mike was defenseless. Dude was KTFO on his feet. Exactly. Young Alvarado was in NO condition to continue I'm not sure how anyone would think anything else! I enjoyed both mens efforts and it was refreshing to see both men fight on the inside as they did. Nishoka came to survive not win, he was a disappointment but Donaire handled the situation very well and showed patience and skill! Good night of boxing, the semi was terrific! Ray. A lot of poster here in this forum would have continued. We have one of the toughest and badasses members here.

With the Alvarado/Rios fight...yes! With the controversy that was sure to follow had it went to scorecards..no! So glad it ended with TKO. FOTY so far for me

I was impressed with Rio's strength considering he was the smaller man and was moving up. Rios stock went up in my book. The Donaire fight was a joke. Dude needs to stop running from G and give the fans a good show.

The Donaire NIshioka fight stunk which i had a feeling would but since ive only seen nishioka against Marquez, i thought he might have brought something different and more fo a challenge. The Rios-Alvarado fight should have been the main event. The crowd was so into it it was crazy. I was a little dissapointed because i felt it couldve gone a little longer but beggars cant be choosers especially with bob arums fights
