HBO Latino..??
They suck big time. They are translating what Jim, Larry, Max, Roy or Steward say.
Why we need a latino announcer? To get another bias voice when a latino is fighting? I think is better with no announcer. The announcers like to throw you off.
i d keep rolling with Kellerman alone...fire the rest ,special mention to Steward he can.know a lot but i cant understand a word the man says (im a spaniard)

Bring over Carl Froch. Everyone respects him and he's erudite while at the same time pithy. Ideal. Agree with getting rid of Merchant, although I don't mind Lamps too much as long as he's not had 10 bowls of frosties like he seemed to before Pac-Clottey.
And Showtime for me is a better unit IMO.
We need to see more Black and Latino announcers (not just ex-pro's), and working on the same nights. If they make up the bulk of all fighters on HBO, then they should make up the bulk of the announcing table. I also think this would eliminate a lot of the dumb biases during HBO fights (Floyd getting so much hate from Larry Merchant, announcers discounting Marquez's performance against Manny, etc). A balanced table makes for better discussions, disagreements, and less bandwagon announcing.
And on a separate note, I think having at least a few amateur fights should be a requirement for announcing. No one should be calling for blood and bravery in the ring if they don't know what it's like to get punched in the face (Larry Merchant).
Ever watch Showtime? Gus, Tarver (before his suspension) and Al. Al is the only one who knows a damn thing because he has been around forever. But there ya go. Two black guys and one white guy.
Call me crazy but I think Sergio Martinez would make a great announcer if he polished his English up. He seems very articulate in the way he presents his thoughts and speech.
And speaking of commentating did anyone listen to Morales commentate during the Olympics for Telemundo? His speech sounded so bad.
i did, but i don't remember it being too bad. morales has always had a funny voice, imo he's just getting older. i have to go back and pay attention to his commentating if it is bad.
hopkins is a good commentator. he demetrius' fight on ESPN once before. he was surprisingly unbiased and even critical of his nephew and had good insights.

unfortunately this is true, it was kinda hard to just sit there and listen to the guy
