pacquiao has yet to face a full pledge welterweight boxer who can stay on par with pacquiao's ferociousness in the ring. pacquiao's last few performances have been less than stellar because of opponents who back off and box on the back foot after tasting pacquiao's power.
andre berto would be a whole different class of animal in the ring. he has the power to hurt pacquiao and a killer uppercut that ends fights. however, berto's average footwork and handspeed equipped with above average power is not enough to derail pacquiao. he would use the same tactics ortiz showed during the ortiz-berto fight, aggressive non stop pressure but with much better speed and accuracy which will prove too much for berto.
pacquiao wins by KO in the late rounds.
your thoughts?

pac should have fought berto instead of mosley. mosley was shot in the mayweather fight everyone saw that. but obviously pac destroys him. he can't avoid left hands just watch collazo/ortiz.
People have actually argued that he would lose to Barrera. It's rare that NSB acknowledges that Pac would win a fantasy fight.
We've had this conversation before.
Pacquaio has been leading a poll on a fantasy fight with Chavez and whenever he's ever in a fantasy fight with a fighter on Berto's calibur he wins by a wide margin.
Like I said, he may not win a long list but he wins plenty.
Pacquaio wins plenty of fantasy fights.

Funny that people forget Pacquiao opted to fight Shane Mosley coming off a loss to Floyd and draw with Mora, aside from Berto in Early 2011. Pacquiao-Berto should have happened May 2011. It would have been a pretty good win for Manny. Berto was the #2 WW and had some decent wins over Collazo and Quintana. It would have been much better than Mosley at that point, who wasn't a legit fight since getting dominated by Floyd.
But, Pacquiao would either force a ref stopppage or win a wide decision. Berto got sropped by Ortiz who's a big puncher, but he did get up everytime and took some big shots, proved he can survive against big punchers. So I don't think Manny KO's him cold, but he could floor him 2-3 times and possibly force a ref stoppage though. Either that or he wins a 10-2 type decision that's even wider because of the knockdowns.
OMFG....am I really reading this :lol1:, PAC has actually won a fantasy fight.
Naw...PAC would get smoke in the first 30secs. I wouldn't be surprise if Berto KO PAC with just the wind from a missing shot .

pac lost to the last slick black fighter he fought and this one is no different. pac ducks black fighters for a reason. he can only beat latinos with no defense
Berto is easy to hit and his ability to take a punch is not that good. He has been knocked down and hurt by fighters with much less speed and power than Pacquiao. I think Pacquiao would KO him within 6 rounds. Ortiz hurt him early. Pacquiao would do the same and he wouldn't let Berto recover. Berto is a dangerous puncher with quick hands so he always has a puncher's chance. Pacquiao is faster, takes a punch much better, throws more punches, and is a better fighter in every way.
When he was on the juice Id say Pac easily. Now....its a toss up imo. Pac doesnt fight the same. Berto could end up mauling him and stopping him. And Berto isnt a WW anymore.
