It's been mentioned but Zab Judah was the 1st thing that came to mind...I think he simply lacked the discipline/work ethic to be in the best shape he could be in. I think he would have beaten Mayweather but lacked the stamina to do the job.
alot of his recent wins were straight robberies against people who were way outskilled in comparison to him(mathysse and kotelnik), his best real win was the corrie spinks win but even against spinks, he lost.
i was laughing my azz off when he lost to baldomir, i always enjoy rewatching his great fight vs kostya tsyzu, zab looked like a drunkie that night, lol, sh1t was classic

Carlos Maussa or Ricardo Mayorga. When you look at them, they arent really that talented in boxing, but both managed to become popular champs for their 15 seconds of fame.
You can't even type a sentence, lmao!
it dont matter, floyd is still the biggest underachieving puzzy in boxing that was basically overated as ****, hes like the ryan leaf of boxing but worse
They just threw that poor guy in with Lewis WAYYYYYYYY before he was ready. It ruined him.
Yeah he wasn't ready for that level of competition at that stage in his career. I thought he was going to be the next great American heavyweight at one point. He had that much potential.
But I don't get the Zab choice. Your talking about a world champion in 2 weight divisions and an undisputed champion at welterweight. He could have been better but I'm sure thousands of boxers would dream of having the career that Zab Judah has had.
One that stands out to me is Riddick Bowe. He could have been an ATG heavyweight if he had the neccessary discipline...
Riddick Bowe has 1 loss. A MD loss to Holyfield in a fantastic fight.
How is that not doing much? He had a fantastic career.
Zab Judah had the ability to be a HOF and a 3 division champion, he didn't do terrible. He's won like 6-7 titles in 2 weight classes, has some solid wins, has had a solid career. Just not as good as his skills and ability could have been.
Joshua Clottey if he had heart comes to mind for me as well. If only he had that warrior mentality and would pubch. He's infuriating.
Dude got one big check and dipped.
Zab Judah
No heart
He's a two-division champion and the former undisputed welterweight champion.
Zab has had a more accomplished career than Amir Khan.
I'm thinking more of someone like Paul Spadafora. Or Michael Grant.
floyd gayweather , he has dukked and ****ed his way through boxing for way too long, floyd loves to call out people and never fight them and if he ever does, they are at their worst
fernando vargas
I've always thought that Vargas was fed to the wolves way too quickly. Fighting Trinidad at age 22-23 with only 20 fights was maybe a bit optimistic. He gave Trinidad a very hard fight though and one of the best fights in that decade.
Kevin Mitchell, not saying would have been a world beater but he could have done much more than he has. He just couldn't stay away from the pub. Big shame because I think he's a damn good boxer.
Ricardo Williams Jr.
Audley Harrison.
Currently, I'd probably go with Ortiz. He's got speed, power, a great skill set on the inside and a decent chin...It seems like he just always finds a way to lose though. Kind of sad.
I hope Khan can bounce back from his KO loss to Garcia, but if not, he just might be in the same category as Ortiz. He's already lost three times, but he's shown tons of heart and does seem to have a warriors mentality. Those type of guys don't go away easily.
