Ok Everybody Lets Stop With The 45/55 Split crap: Read This

It doesn't matter what Pac says he agrees to if his promoter continues to refuse to sit down with Mayweather's promoter to discuss a fight. That is what happened after the last Pac/Marquez fight -- Arum REFUSED to sit down with Richard Schafer to discuss a potential Mayweather/Pac fight. The idiotic Pac supporters love to harp on the phone call that Mayweather made to Pac and Mayweather's measley offer of a 40 million guarantee as the reason the fight wasn't made. The truth is and always has been that the fight was not made for May of 2012 or any time prior to that date because Bob Arum refused to make the fight. Arum lied about a second negotiation and created a phony countdown clock, he lied about talking to investors about the fight, he lied about his desire to build a temporary stadium to hold the fight and he lied about not knowing who to talk to in the Mayweather camp about negotiating the fight. Pac has no authority to decide anything. He fights who Arum tells him to fight. He fought Marquez for a third time because that was the only decent option Arum gave him; he fought Timothy Bradley because that was the only option Arum gave him and he is fighting a fourth fight with Marquez because that is the only option Arum gave him if Pac wants to earn the type of money that he wants. If the fight is made for 2013 (I doubt it because I expect Marquez to KO Pacquaio) it will be made because Arum has run out of options, Pac plans to retire, his contract expires and Arum wants to cash Pac out. Nothing Pac says about the fight makes any difference. In the end, he will end up doing exactly what Arum wants. On another note, Ellerbe is right. If the fight is made, it will be made on Mayweather's terms, not Pac's terms, and Mayweather's terms will definitely not be a 55-45 split of PPV revenue.

i rather believe pac's statement over ****ing koncz tbh...pacquiao said specifically: "Win or lose, I’ll take 45%" ... "He can wear my trunks. I don’t care. I just want to get him in the ring and make the fight." if pac came out and said differently i would understand...kind of like when floyd said "pac you're next!" but later back tracked and said how he never called out pac. Yeah like when Pac said he would take a smaller split before only to have konz and Arum to kill it. Pac doesn't run the show so whatever he says isn't final.

To be honest I don't think Pacquiao minds taking the smaller piece of the pie, really speaking he's a bit thick/simple. What people need to realise is that his handlers aren't that stupid, every time he opens his mouth claiming that he'd take a smaller paycut Koncz and Arum more than likely face palm whilst preparing a damage control speech. That would be a shame, but fits the whole narrative of each side playing off the other trying to build them self up while promoting a different fight. That said, what getting talked about now is not that important because there is no chance of the fight coming off next. They need to be able to agree and be real when it is time to sit down and negotiate, rather than playing the media trying to get the public on their side.
