Roy Jones before the Ruiz fight was unbeatable. He would pick Ward completely apart and that's saying something because Ward is the best right now from 160-175 in my opinion.
You guys forgot how going good roy was. Roy was a beast in his prime. Unbeatable. You can't hit what you can't see. Beats the living daylights out of ward and I have nothing against ward but I just had to post. Stop disrespecting roy. He was not beatable in his prime!
This right hear. It would look much like the Toney fight. Prime Roy against anyone is not a fair fight. Roy way way way to quick. Easily the fastest fighter ever. Roy way faster hands, way faster feet, way more power than Ward. Let me know when ward goes up and wins a heavy weight belt easily.
Yall must of forgot not answering Roy for this question.
I love Roy, but I think Ward's deep foundation and ever improving Hopkins-esque savvy keeps him alive and takes him to a decision. IMO, Ward is too collective and smart to be dazzled or frustrated the way all Roy's opponents were. However, I only think Ward wins it with an ugly, maybe even cheap decision.
Then again, the closest Wards come to fighting Roy, is Carl Froch, and Roys already fought Bernard.

Interesting fight. Think of Jones-Hopkins I, but with Hopkins at the peak of his craft in addition to being in his prime physically. That's what you'd get in this one.

Roy Jones out speeds Ward in a tactical duel.
I don't think Ward can handle someone faster in both hands and feet than him since he's never had to.
Roy Jones is a fighter I felt that was almost unbeatable in his prime. I feel the same way about Ward.
One thing I will say is Roy has shown (in the Hopkins and Toney fight) that he can handle alot of the things that make Roy great. With Ward you do make a great point as Roy would definitely be faster than Ward.
