Both of these guys in my opinion have the highest ring I.Q. How do you guys see a chess match between them panning out. Right now, I think Martinez would be too much for money.....physically and now mentally.
Didn't B-Hop once say that Floyd has higher ring IQ than him?
He said Floyd's ring IQ is as high as his, which I agree with. Ward is up there as well, I think all three, in terms of ring IQ are on a league of their own.

Bernard HOPKINS: Floyd MAYWEATHER's Boxing IQ is as High as Mine" (ESPN VIDEO)
Yeah there it is.
Ohhh, so that's why he fought a junior middleweight titleholder, Dzinziruk, at 160. Because ...oh wait...
You really comparing Dzinzurik to Mayweather?
Mayweather Vs Martinez is probably a bigger fight than Mayweather Vs Pacquiao at yis moment in time
Not probably ... it is. Pac vs May would be fun to watch but at this point most people see floyd as a HEAVY favorite. MvM would be the without a doubt the best vs the best, not just in divisions but in P4P.
Thats because hes been forced to fight at 160 because people like Floyd Mayweather wont fight him at 154.

boxers don't compliment Martinez style either
This has been proven when Macklin boxed Martinez, he looked uncomfortable in there. He also didn't like that Barker was so defensive. Three things Mayweather has, he boxes, counterpunches and is defensive.
Does anyone really think May would even get into the ring with Martinez?
Mayweather likes aggressive fighters that compliment his style, not boxers that counterpunch and definately not middleweight southpaws.
Whatever man, if your boy Floyd is so good and has so much confidence in himself. The fight will get made. But, magically it won't. So all this "he's a genius at this or that. He makes fighters do this or that", doesn't mean squat, when he's not willing to test out his skills against another super dangerous opponent. Of course, you can look like Superman when your fighting sub par competition, but to truly test how great you are, you have to fight legit, dangerous opponents, that have a shot at outboxing and KO'ing you.
It's like the Lakers calling themselves the G.O.A.T. basketball team after beating the Atlanta Hawks. What happens when you match yourself up with a team like the Heat or the Thunder??? Can you look as magical and dominant against a team that's just as good as you or even better? I've never once gotten that feeling from a Floyd fight, where I thought "ok, lets see what this kid's made of!", besides the Corralles fight. That was like a decade ago.
lol this seems to be common. When people can come up short in evaluating a way to beat Floyd, they just skip to "Well Floyd would never fight him anyways"
I can guaruntee you if boxing was ran like the UFC, Floyd wouldn't have that 0 on his record. He waits and waits and waits, until theirs a new fighter that comes out of nowhere, with definite flaws, and his fans go "He's fighting a guy in his prime, and he's young!"
well when you only fight once every 2 years it's easier to stay undefeated. Especially when you're expected to fight the top guys. If he had 10 fights in the last 5 years instead of 4 we would have a better idea how "great" he really is. That's undeniable.
The only people calling for Martinez-Golovkin over Martinez-Mayweather are Mayweather arse lickers.
Golovkin is their new human shield. Behind him is Andre Ward.
they would prefer he wins fantasy fights for his greatest of all time title. Not real ones. Mayweather has only fought 4 times in the last 5 years but somehow he beat like 12 guys
Martinez hasnt made 154 in 3 years.
Stop it.
If Floyd beats a drained Martinez then it was a pointless fight. NSB kills me at times with this shyt. Did we not just see Ward vs. Dawson and the response to it?
Mayweather would KILL a drained Martinez. Cut the shyt already.
Martinez is fighting at the weight hes comfortable at. Fight Golovkin.
So you would be against the self proclaimed greatest of all time fighting for the middleweight title? Why? That is exactly the type of fight that could legitimize his claim. I agree he is small but is that not the type of challenge the greatest of all time would take?
Surely the greatest of all time would need to do something truly great would he not?
Martinez is not Cotto, way better chin, speed, reflexes, power, toughness, "never quit" attitude, movement, heart, etc.
Also longer reach, and naturally bigger. Face it bub, its a mismatch.
Forgot to mention slickness, and style. Confidence as well, although Cotto was damn confident in that Mayweather fight.
Martinez vs Mayweather is a mismatch?
Drinking early today I see.

if it is not done at 160 then I don't want to see it...I don't want to see a Drained Martinez and I really don't want to see a Blown Up over sided Mayweather to the point in which it effects the way he fights
So if this fight happens great...if not I am OK with that, I think it is stupid to put pressure on Mayweather to move up to 160 to fight Martinez...lets say he does that and beats Martinez, then most of you will be saying he should move up to 168 to fight Ward, then he should move up to 175 to fight Dawson, then he should move up at 200 and fight Pablo Hernandez...it has to be a limit at some point
Mayweather is great at what he does but he is STILL HUMAN, some fans are just desperate to see him lose that they are asking for him to almost do the IMPOSSIBLE!
Canelo and Pacquiao then retire is a Good Enough way to end your career, a fight with Martinez would be a BONUS I guess...but I would think Now Martinez is a PPV Draw, so does he even need Pacquiao and Mayweather for a big pay day...a rematch with Chavez Jr will finally give him to BIG PAY DAY he deserves then after that and he wins that he should be able to squeeze out a few more PPV Fights, him vs GGG could be a Huge PPV Fight
I think he should fight for the 160 pound title legitimately before he retires for legacy. Especially since he says he's the goat. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
was de la hoya too big for mayweather? After all he did box at middleweight for a period and came down. Mayweather boxing iq would frustrate the life out of martinez. his reflexes at 35 are miles better than chavez, those flicking jabs wouldnt touch floyd. I have floyd winning this by UD. Easy work.
