RICKY HATTON has ditched the weighting game which saw him pile on FOUR stone between fights.
Hatton, 33, will return to the ring on November 24 – two-and-a-half years since Filipino Manny Pacquiao left him flat on his back in Las Vegas.
The Manchester scrapper has yet to name his opponent for his big comeback – but has pledged to quit his after-bout drinking sessions.

Keep it real!
I THOUGHT MEXICANS WERE TRUE FANS. I HEAR WHAT IF, HE SHOULD HAVE, HE ALMOST, HE KINDA, HE ALL MOST. BLAH BLAH BLAH. YOU CANT JUST SAY CONGRATS SERGIO YOU PUT ON ONE HELL OF A FIGHT. AND TELL CHAVEZ WORK HARD BUILD YOURSELF AND SKILLS BACK UP TO BECOME CHAMP AGAIN.
REMATCH WHY BECAUSE YOU WANT A SECOND CHANCE. 11 RDS TO 1 DOES NOT CALL FOR A REMATCH. YOU DON'T GET ANY REMATCHES IN THE FINALS. WELCOME TO THE BIG LEAGUES. CHAVEZ SHOULD FIGT SOMEBODY HIS OWN SIZE. HE IS NOT A MIDDLEWEIGHT. 168 OR LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT.
FOR 33 MINUTES JR GOT BEAT. THEN HE RALLIES FOR 50 SECS AND WE NEED A REMATCH. thats pathetic
Fighters that have been brutally KOed like Ricky can have lasting effects that most never return to form. I'm willing to bet the first time he gets clipped on the chin he will go down and all of those memories will come rusing back. Stay retired Ricky, no one wants to see you become a dribbling vegetable with a large set of Depends diaper's on.

He's going to fighting at 147 isn't he?
Unless he is fighting Witter, and perhaps Khan. I don't know why he is coming back. Because a solid ranked welter would smash him with ease especially after the lay off.
better late than never. rickys gains between fights turned his training camps into fat loss camps.
its no wonder that fighters who come into camps waaaaaay overweight don't really pick up new skills or gain anything from a technical point of view. their training is focussed on cutting weight that they don't have the time to learn and implement anything from a technical stance.
