AMIR KHAN and Ricky Hatton are ready to put their friendship aside for a superfight that could sell out Wembley.
The pair could meet in a Battle of Britain tussle next summer with Khan’s manager Asif Vali saying: “It would be huge.”
Hatton will announce his ring return after a three-year absence tomorrow with a fight at the MEN Arena on November 24.

Hatton's lifestyle has been pure garbage since he retired, even worse that between fights. The guy's done. The fight would be huge and it will probably be made. But it won't be competitive.
why the hate?? god i love this fight wanted it for years. either way a british guy loses its a win-win lmao. but seriously why count hatton out he has only lost to the very best. i think he stops khan in 5.
Khan is a bitch if he takes that fight.
Straight up vulturous mother fcker.
Battle of Britain my ass.
This .
Khan is either aiming to high (Matthysse, Garcia RM)
Or too low (Hatton ((in terms of Ricky hasn't even announced his comeback yet))
But when one name who is on level terms with Khan (Guzman) gets mentioned Khan turns his nose up at it.
Amir needs to get his priorities right.
Thats just it he is not just a vulture he's a prissy little bìtch who doesn't respect anyone! he reckons he's the best fighter out there the deluded arśewipe.
As for him fighting matthysse that will never happen any time soon! unless he's thinking about going out on a stretcher.
ummm, years off or not, hatton is waaay better than khan. hatton was better when he was active, and he is still better now. if they fought, i would have no issues betting the house on hatton.
what will it take for people to understand that if khan is fighting anyone that is above B- / C+ level, he is NOT going to win?
If Danny Garcia can take Khan out then Ricky would too. Hello, brutal KO
Garcia is a deceptively hard puncher and he countered Khan on the way in. Hatton is a pressure fighter.
I think a prime Hatton would give Khan hell in the same way Maidana and Peterson did but might still lose to Khan on points. It would've been close.
Translation: With Ricky Hatton's big name plus being ring rusty, we think this is a winnable and marketable fight for Amir, and it'll put him back on track to being elite.
Do not understand the hate on this fight at all. It makes sense and cents. Both these guys are household names in the UK. Both have been in great fights in the past, and both guys have had consecutive losses when they've last been in the ring. I am not just a casual fan, and I think it is a good fight for where they both are. I would definitely watch it.
this fight will do huge numbers in uk if hatton wins a tune up because khan got koed again and looks vunerable, people will start to believe ricky can beat him again
I suggested this match up a few days! I think it would be a "safe" match for both. If anyone gets stopped by KO they need to retire. It should be at 140 but would be safer at 147 because they would be able to concentrate on boxing skills not making a weight limit.
I don't like seeing the Hattons & Cottos of the world continue in boxing when they both have been overwhelmed and hurt badly in the sport. They both have fought at a high level and not done well, why go on? I care for these young warriors the casual fan doesn't give a damn! Better safe then destroyed! Ray.
Typical team Khan. Trying to pick at the bones of a past (way past) their prime great with a big name.
Casual fans will eat this up, but real fans know exactly what this is, and what team Khan are trying to do. Its sad and embarrassing.
Harsh. I assume you refer to Barrera and Judah. His resume deserves more credit than just the suggestion he picks at has beens.
I'll argue against it being embarrassing, all those who says this remember to not watch if it happens!
If Rickys going to come back for 1) Money - the fight makes sense (2) The end his career on a high - the fight makes sense. Lets face it he's not going to get any satisfaction fighting British level opponents after being world level.
It makes sense for them both really. Khan being back in the UK and Ricky looking a avenge the way his career ended. Khans scalp would defintely help ease his pain.
It's Hatton choice to come out of retirement, Khan is more than entitled to plant the seed for a super fight next year.....boxing is a business.
Yeah, and is worse off because of it, what a shame.
I called this one. Khan is a very winnable fight for Hatton. It's like when Hatton was KTFO by Floyd and then went after Pauli, there is no chance of being KO'ed, just outboxed.
khan can definitely ko hatton, that would be the most likely result.
