What kind of abilities did he have in orthodox stance and south paw stance?
What I mean by that is, did he brawl/infight better as an orthdox or when he fights southpaw does he out-box/counter punch better.
Also what punches did you have to watch out for in his different stances?
Heres a fight of naseem:
Nas biggest mistake was changing trainers, Brenda knew Nas style inside out, there wasnt a trainer on earth who could work with that style.
He also let his ego get too big and started to rely way to much on his power to save him.
I honestly believe Naz could have comeback, if he was committed, he could give anyone a run for their money, he had all the tools, god given to be a great, he should have fought Morales before Barrera.
Its sad he didnt have the heart, thats the onlything Khan has over Naz.."Heart"
Doesn't matter, the stance he will be best known for his when he got knocked silly by Barerra..
Naseem was just like Khan, skinny runts with big egos and glass jaws, and picked fighters, when they fought someone of a decent calibre they knocked out silly and made to look completely stupid at the same time...
Knocked silly, glass jaw?
Naseem had zero defense his entire career and never once lost to a KO
The guy had some of the best reflexes i'd ever seen, and devastating power, and fast hands...Khan can only wish to be half the boxer Naz was and have a chin like him...
Hamed has a reasonable claim to being a great fighter, or close to it. With his phenomenal reflexes and massive punch, he would have been trouble for anyone. That is, if he concentrated and trained seriously, something he didn't really do in his last 2-3 years, because he'd lost interest due to his hands more or less crumbling. This used to be a well known fact, but now seems to be forgotten. It was legit.
He half trained for 3 weeks for Barrera, and it wasn't a wipe-out by any means, he just wasn't expecting anything from Barrera, and made a big mistake. To me, after a couple of rounds of his usual off-balance antics, he seemed to be resigned to losing his unbeaten record. His next-and last- fight was beating a 30-0 Spanish fighter, just to rfinish up a winner.
For almost as long as he fought, he was avoided by those top guys in their primes Paulie Ayala, Johnny Tapia, Erik Morales and the great Juan Manuel Marquez, and was the top fighter at his weight. Don't forget, he was really only a little guy, about 5'3" with short arms.
This is a boxing fan. Too many on here just slag boxers off - 99% never having been close to a ring themselves or even gone to a major fight.
Naseem wasn't skinny. He was as an amateur (I watched him & he was tiny, fast and not a knockout artist). After he turned pro he was brilliant up until the Robinson fight then he caught the same disease that Mike Tyson had. He forgot about his boxing skills & just focused on the KO. Tyson was a great boxer up til Spinks then he went backwards. Naz did the same.
He ****ed his own life/career up with his arrogance.
He never realised 50% of his potential.
However, I think that no matter how hard he trained - under whatever trainer - he would have 'lost' to Barrera. One of those Ali-Norton/Pac-JMM situations....

i think he looks more natural and better defencivly fighting southpaw, in the orthadox stance he tends to just jab alot. either way i dont like his attitude.

Worst post of the day, too many things wrong in it to even bother correcting.
Red K
I could've sworn he said he lost because of Allah. Sounds like an excuse to me.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!??
What the hell Allah has to do with a professional boxing match?

Naseem hamed and khan are different type of boxers, also naseem never got KOed in his career!
I like naseem and cant stand khan anymore! When naseem lost to barrera, in his post fight he made ZERO excuses and accepted his loss giving barerra his due.
When khan loses he will blame anyone and everyone but his god awful footwork and lousy fight IQ!
