For all you guys making excuses because you picked wrong Andre Ward himself dropped down in weight and was successful among others. STOP MAKING EXCUSES! because :gay:
Most fighters box pro at a lighter weight than amatuer due to amateurs having to be at the weight all season plus weigh in on the night unlike the pros were they rehydrate . I bet ward weighed at least 175 on the night . Ward would of won regardless if it was at sm or lh but the weight loss wouldn't of helped Dawson
amateurs and professional are different. 3 rounds with headgear or 12 rounds without headgear. furthermore why didnt Ward move up to 175 if he fought at that weight before?? instead he decided to weight drain him and kill Dawson. furthermore Andre Ward didnt fight at lightheavyweight in the amateurs because lightheavyweight was his natural weight back then, cause it was not. he did it cause his cousin DonYil Livingston fought at middleweight. they were both middleweights but they decided to change weight classes so they wouldnt have to fight each other.
TS just got owned by his idea.. and he replied something like "whatever" lol.
im not blaming ward or dawson for anything regarding the result..
dawson moved down, and he should suffer it. ward didn't move up and agree to a catchweight and he should also suffer it... thats boxing..
I really don't care that Dawson went down in weight and loss if it did affect him he shouldnt of done it but you do realize by making this thread Dawson supporters will say well why didn't he just go to 175 if he was already fighting at 178 in the am's so no matter what you say there will be a argument. And before you answer that and say well Dawson went down there willing didn't he say it could be at a catch weight 175 or 168
What the bold had to do with the thread? Damn, there is always room for the hatred and the ignorance. I'll leave it like that because it is obvious that you lack common sense.
You brought Pacquiao into the discussion, all I did was address what you said. Obviously your reading these posts through rose tinted glasses but in the future try to be a little more objective because your opinion is all over the place.
haha yeah that's what I'm saying. Interpretation is everything. you spin the facts better then a republican
I jus reiterated ya statement, nuttin more. Words are powaful tings ya know and jus like dem damn courts, ya gots to be careful when you use em cause dey can come back to bites ya in da ass.
If Ward moves down to 160 and beats the winner of Martinez-Chavez Jr., he's picking on smaller men.
If he fights Chavez Jr. or Martinez at 168, he's picking on a bloated, blown-up, and slow middleweight.
If he fights anyone at his own weight division, he's picking on bums.
Just like Floyd, he's in a no-win situation.
Moving up? If he already cleaned 168 then 175 is the only option.

lol and the Fl0mos uses that same logic on Pacquiao.
A myth? Ward outboxing Froch dont mean that he hits harder. Hopkins was knock down several times. The only other common opponent is Camou who was TKO by Ward in the third when the ref stopped the fight a bit early IMO and Pascal KO with a body punch. The only myth here is thinking that a guy that have fight career at LHW wont be affected by losing 7 extra pounds. Incredible how some of this posters talking all this ish are the guys that criticize Pac for doing it.
It's because Pacman isn't the same complexion as them, they are racially motivated, its sad.
And those are the same ones praising Ward giving him FULL credit, they discredit Pacquiao on everything

Ward is basically a bigga guy beating up on smalla guys, is dat what you sayin?

Like I said on the elite level Pascal and Ward's common opponent is Dawson, and unless Froch has stated Pascal was the harder puncher I'm not the one to ASSUME something based on someone else's OPINION.
As far as Pacquiao goes, he's old news and in the past. I really could care less at this point. Hopefully he can find a fighter that can get him his 25 million "guarantee" ...:sombrero:

Oh so now it turns out that Ward is a bigger puncher than Pascal ... I don't know how some guys can reach this kind of conclusions.
I didn't say that Ward is a bigger puncher than Pascal, because we just don't know. Did Carl Froch say Pascal was the bigger puncher? He fought both men and is the only person I know who is qualified to answer that question.
Re read what I initially wrote, and try to follow your own advice.
Did Pascal KO Froch, or did he get beat by Froch? Did Andre Ward hurt Froch and outbox Froch? The Pascal "is a bigger puncher" than Ward idea is a myth, unless Froch goes on record and states otherwise...jus sayin.

Pascal is a bigger puncher and didnt hurt Chad. Ward is not known for his power and some people get mad because the obvious is being said. If you dont believe that weight was an issue, you are a moron.

Amateurs will fight closer to their natural weight because they have to fight often and need to have energy, they are not allowed to DRAIN and than rehydrate 20 pounds that would be extremely dangerous doing that every week, Ams fight on a weekly basis and fight a lot of fights, so they must fight at their walk around weights. Thats why Bradley fought so high in the ams, and Berto too, cutting tons of weight would have killed those guys imagine starving yourself every single day just to fight at 147 when you walk around at 170? You can only do that in the pros because you don't fight often.
And that's the point. In the AMs you have to stay within the limit throughout the tournament. In the pros you've got 30 hours to rehydrate. TS is just ignorant and should just leave the thread.
