calzaghe looked like trash against bika and was huffing and puffing and grabbing on for dear life to get to the finish line. not impressive. bute looked better than both guys against bika so i guess he's best? ward's done more than calzaghe ever did and that's why he's better. calzaghe didn't fight a live opponent for almost ten years after becoming champ. ward's done nothing but fight live opponents since becoming champ.

At this point no way but maybe in the future he can be.

Well both Kessler and Bika claimed Calzaghe was the better fighter

Looking at the kessler fight, Calzaghe had a tough hard win against Kessler adjusted to win the fight, Ward crushed Kessler. Calzaghe was not that hard to hit, and didn’t have enough power to worry Ward. Ward in my opinion wins almost every round against Calzaghe. I can’t see how people can actually think Calzaghe could win lol don't be retarded, see the Bika fights? While Bika gave Joe a rough fight he sailed to victory easily, Ward struggled with him.

Calzaghe was just better than Ward

Ward is a more aggressive, smarter, more versatile Bernard Hopkins and Calzaghe BARELY beat Hopkins (arguably lost) Ward would correct all of Hopkins mistakes and UD Calzaghe And as far as legacy... Ward matched Calzaghe's greatest accomplishment his first fight in the super 6... And did it with much less problems, and in only his 20th pro fight He's definitely the GREATEST SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT OF ALL TIME BY FAR

Ward can adjust as well. We've seen him switch his game plan during a fight and employ different tactics in each of his. Ward is special.

Fantasy fights are moot. The point is Andre Ward, tonight, became without question(imo) the greastest smw of all time. He has accomplished more than any other fighter at this weight.

probably true, but talent is talent and Joe beat a very good version of Hopkins, subsequently proven by performances post that fight. It's a close fight. They fight quite similarly in alot of ways, but Joe has more activity and stamina. I'd go 60-40 in his favour. years before that hopkins had lost to taylor (in the 2nd fight) & he started to look slower. his stamina started to play up on him even years before the taylor bouts...........when joe fought him years after taylor he barely squeaked out a SD. thats not impressive to me.........& hopkins scucess was coming from the same distance style that ward loves to use. ward has too many dimensions to me.......he can play the distance game very well & he can take you apart on the inside......... ward has fought the better fighters. has the better resume. i don't see how calzaghie would beat ward at this point.

calzaghe always found a way to win just like ward does,but i would go with joes workrate and predict a calzaghe UD
