Ward didn't squeak out a victory here and play it safe, he took chances and risks, pressed for the KO when it presented itself, and MADE Dawson QUIT. Dawson, who is THE LHW champion and highly regarded. How can you discredit that?

it's hard to say weight wasn't a factor for ward stopping dawson...7 pounds might have been too much for dawson. it's not ward's fault though since chad offered to go down. but it's hard to give ward full credit..

Inside, Outside, Speed, Quickness, Footwork, Strength, Extremely HIGH In Ring IQ and if he stands and step into his punches like he was doing tonight he also have deceptive Power and enough Power to knock guys like Froch and Dawson Back #1 P4P IMO! Not just because of this fight but because of his BODY OF WORK over the last two years...nobody resume over the last 2 Years can come close to WARD, then it makes it even more impressive when guys like Abraham and Froch go on to win titles after losing to Ward You can claim Weight Drain all you want but IMO I don't think even at 175 the outcome will be different...Dawson not strong enough MENTALLY to hang with Ward
