Name some of the worst business decisions you've seen in boxing. I'll start :
-Marquez turning down a $750,000 offer for a Pacquiao rematch to end up fighting Chris John in Indonesia for $30,000.
-Pavlik turning down $1.35 million to fight Bute because Kessler was offered more, then fought in an untelevised card.
-Winky turning down a title shot against Abraham, sitting on the shelf for 2 years before fighting Williams for no title in front of a small crowd.
Martinez getting KO'd by Margarito for $800.
Or Arum allowing Lopez and Gamboa to 'marinate' when he could have made a super fight.
lopez vs gamboa wasnt going to be a super fight
Didnt read the second page...
But I'm gunna go with Bute fighting Froch. >__>...The way that fight played out showed WHY he should have stayed in Canada and not fought these guys lol.
Ali refusing to be drafted and losing 3 1/2 years of his career at it's peak, which killed his prime.
that wasnt a business decision and had he done diffrently he would have lost his convictions and his character. then he wouldnt be half the fighter he was even after his prime.

Wouldn't he probably lose more time if he didn't refuse the draft?

-It was probably a smart move in the long run. He got like 5 million fighting Pac recently instead of $750k.
-Pavlik didn't end up fighting at all actually. And I'm not sure he was even in the right condition to fight Bute at the time. Might have been for the best.
i'm not sure how much money he gave up or if i am accurate with my post but if i haven't mistaken after hasim rahman beat lennox he was offered a multi million dollar contract to be an HBO fighter & declined. lennox took rahman to court & invoked his rematch clause & was awarded an immediate rematch. HBO picked up the fight anyway but if he signed that multi fight deal does he fight lennox right away? HBO could have probably flexed their muscles & got rahman a fight or 2 before the return with lennox...i'm not sure how accurate my post is. i just recall something along these lines.
