I can totally seeing Floyd putting Martinez before pacquiao especially if manny gets his ass kicked by Juan once again or loses to Bradley in the rematch.
Add in the fact that manny hasn't ever shown any real urgency and desire towards a Mayweather fight.
Floyd would brush manny off the way he did Mosley. Back when Mosley was on closer to equal footing to Floyd, Mosley tried to ignore a Mayweather fight. So when Mayweather finally had the power to make a fight between them, he took his time in making it.
I just don't think he'll risk the mega fight/payday with Pacquiao by fighting Sergio. If he fights Sergio, it'll be after Pacquiao retires or after they fight, if at all.
With all the recent fights made whos left for mayweather to fight at the end of the year?
At this point, Ms Jackson is the only possibly for fight with Floyd this year.
Golovkin at 154....just to send the kids back to bed around here...I know Floyd wouldn't get no credit for it but I would just love to hear the excuses from the kids afterwards :killyou:
somebody at 154, as he's the WBC 154 champ, remember?
i see no point at him going back to 147 as there isn't anybody at that weight that could even compete with floyd
would like to see him fight canelo, would be a great fight, possibly his most difficult challenge
people here say canelo is overrated because he hasn't fought top competition
that's true but it doesn't mean he isn't as good as advertised, i think he's really good and would give Floyd a good fight
Sergio Martinez
No way. Floyd won't fight Sergio before Pacquiao, unless Pacquiao retires and they never fought.
My dream would be Pac in April/May and Sergio in Nov/Dec.
I doubt Floyd fights again this year, he should focus on Pacquiao for next Spring. Either that or fight Bradley. I wouldn't mind seeing Floyd-Bradley in November/December, but I doubt he fights this year.
We probably wont find out til Jan or Feb after all of these guys finish fighting each other. With that in mind, hopefully all of these guys make a huge impact before the end of the year.
I want to see these guys EARN big paydays, rather than beg for them and end up struggling against B-level competition and ruining their chance.
If these guys fight like they REALLY want a huge payday, then thats great for us viewers...we'll see them fight their heart out, rather than trying to play it safe and bore us to death.
Were you born that way or was it your choice?
Anyways, floyd should fight khan for the hell of it, or give ricky hatton a rematch.
Floyd should fight them both in the same night and make a easy 50 million.
alexander probably next year..funny that khan might actually be a possibility..both need opponents.A year ago i would have looked forward to this fight, now id just feel sorry for khan if he took it lol
It's going to be Alexander if he wins
I don't think so, but...I can almost imagine Floyd promoting this fight, "you could argue Alexander is undefeated...it's like I said before, I never seen B-Brad...or Brady fight, I don't know who that is, but I caught a glimpse of that fight, and I'll just say there was a lot of illegal headbutts..."
