I never really understood why so many of you feel the need to create these types of threads. I mean, it's not exactly like any of you guys are a published author, analyst, or even a noted intellectual known for their witty pontifications on the sport, is it?
Granted once upon a time NSB did have a (relatively small) pool of fairly interesting and intelligent users who were known to phrase such thoughts in elegant elocution (The Great A and Kayjay immediately spring to mind), but they never felt the need to create such asinine threads - They were content to just pen their thoughts in existing threads.
But something happened along the way during the social media boom that birthed the "my thoughts are important" movement where now every halfwit with a wifi connection thinks his or her opinion on any given topic deserves a thread of it's own.
It doesn't. It just makes you look like an even more colossal self-important douchebag.
That is all.
Pac fight is never going to happen, and mayweather is going to tear Bradley apart.
Martinez vs Chavez is gonna be a hell of a fight. I want to see what happens there first before i think about their next opponents.
I got Junior. Do it for Paul.
Being part of 7 different forums, this is actually very common. In the 7 forums I post in, only in Boxingscene is this complained about. A lot of people complain about this here.
This is actually one of the forums with the angriest people posting in it. In another forum I post in, I have e-friend who is a boxing fan, just like us, hardcore. He told me about boxingscene, I told him I post there. He said he only lurks here because this site is full of angry e-thugs who like to fight about everything and anything.
This is also the only forum I post in that mods actually delete threads that have nothing inappropriate in it, and merge the "same topics" threads. I'm not going to sit here and pretend on some forum guru, and like if i'm the only one who posts in different forums, I am pretty sure a lot of you do too, probably even more than 7. But from my experience, this is the angriest forum I post in. Mods here really get irritated from just about anything, not only mods, regular posters feel the need to make threads about the forum and about leaving it. This is seriously, the most drama-queen populated forum I post in, ironically, this forum has the least females in it. I am reluctant to post anything here anymore, despite this being the first forum I signed up to, and really use to be my favorite. The strictness of it really takes the definition of a forum, out of this "forum". This is not even a forum, it has turned more like an e-prison. Talk about the "golden era" of this forum, coincidentally I see less old posters now with the new rules. There were more old posters during the prime of Mayweather-Pac talks, when the rules were less strict, and that time was horrible.
Ill add something to this Kev. This is the angriest site Ive been on but I think its only that way because the other sites Im on are wayyy more strict. Mods chop heads and you dont get to create an alt and come back. They get your isp and youre done there. I cut back NSB posting substantially because everything seems personal. Its not about boxing anymore.
who do you want floyd to fight next?
Cotto? Robert Guerrero? canelo alvarez? victor ortiz? amir khan? please lol
I think my pick is better.
Manny Pac and Tim Bradley for starters? You know guys at his weight class that have actually won big fights, guys that have actually beat fighters with a pulse, guys that actually mean something to the 147 division in the grand scheme of things.
Why doesnt anyone want to see GG vs. Martinez? Why go down 2 divisions?

Is believing that Golovkin stands a chance against Floyd really any more absurd than the 9/11 conspiracies or stories from the Bible that you believe in, Cigarillo?
Bringer let me break this down for you once and for all....time.
I believe 9/11 was an inside job. From the botched investigation on down its a mess.
Now let me make this perfectly clear. There will never be anything you can say to ever make me change the way I feel about that event.
So we might as well not spend the next 10 pages on it.
I'm just saying it's a good fight. I havent been impressed by anyone lately except golovkin and he would be a good comeback fight at 154 for floyd and be a real test.
Fair enough I wont jump on you for liking him. Hes heavy handed as hell. Id like to see him against Pirog, Sturm or even an Andy Lee or a Rubio. Just someone better than Kassim Ouma who he struggled with and Proska.

Golovkin's a true tactical fighter.
He knows how to impose his will and control the fight. He would be a real challenge to mayweather. I want to see that fight most if not may vs pac
Grzegorz Proksa is not Floyd Mayweather. Hell Proska isnt even Joshua Clottey. Slow down.
I don't get why some posters or wanna be mods keep complaining about how bad the forums is now compared to the golden era which just so happens to be when they signed up .
and then make a big good bye thread/post about them leaving these fourms
Which mod did that?

Hood talk FAILURE. No way are you going to have younknowwhatimsayin and redundant in the same paragrah.
Dat's jus' my way of sayin' 'da sh*t is superfluous, a'ight?
I "look like I raided the thesaurus" why? Because I have a solid grasping of the English language?
Sorry, I forgot which audience I was speaking to here. Please, allow me to rephrase :
Yo, homiez, dis sh*t in NSB is f*ckin' cray all 'da time 'wit 'da "my fouts on 'dis" freads, youknowwhatimsayin'? Y'all need to cut 'dat **** out 'cause it's redundant n' sh*t, 'ya heard?

Okay, I don't know what high school you attended because a lot of people would be baffled by your use of language.
But again, you can't disapprove of people giving their opinions on Boxing in a Boxing forum. It's just ludicrous. Not everybody here is an expert nor does everybody communicate on the same wavelength as yourself, but everyone is entitled to their opinions and a Boxing forum is the perfect place for them to express any thoughts they have. A skill of life is learning to adapt to all types of societies. So I suggest you stop moaning and learn to appreciate all opinions, not just those of middle class Boxing experts.
You misunderstand me. I'm not disapproving of fans sharing their opinions on matters that pertain to the sport, I'm disapproving of the shameless attention whoring that is the motivating factor behind such thread creations.
I'm not saying they're not entitled to their opinions, I'm saying that unless their opinions differ demonstrably from the opinions already being discussed in other active threads, there's really no need to create an entirely new thread to discuss it.
Just post in an existing one.
Christ, think back to last November. How many "my thoughts on the decision" threads were there about Pacquiao/Marquez III? Slow motion rounds? No commentary? Remember all of that?
That sh*t could've been contained to like 3 threads if the users here weren't such self-aggrandizing dolts who felt that thread creation was the only way to achieve an audience.
Odd how you percieve my longing for some intellectual boxing conversation to be seeking of a "exclusive high society". Odder still is the fact that you deem my English to be of an "advanced level", as it's clearly nothing more potent than that of an average high school student's.
Those two admissions alone are evidence of what I'm speaking on here.
More to the point , I'm not even seeking what a much more intellectual human being would consider "intellectual conversation" here - All I'm asking for is a little difference of opinion backed by an understanding of the English language comparable to that of your average high school student, wherein the participants don't insult anybody who doesn't support "their" guy.
Jesus Christ, it's playground mentality. :lol1:

Is it bad that I read this part in Roger Mayweathers voice?
I agree with TS.
