What Floyd should be criticized for in that case is not the catchweight itself (that was more fair to JMM) but blowing it off. Jmm was already fat he wasn't gonna be 147, and Floyd wasn't gonna make 140, and technically anything over 140 is a welterweight fight. The only catchweight, purely, that Floyd can be criticized for is the upcoming Canelo one, and yes he is a hypocrite for making Canelo cut weight after saying that Cotto was an undefeated fighter and blah blah. but saying the Canelo catchweight hasn't happened YET so it doesn't count is laughable too. It counts. The JMM one wasn't Floyd making a larger fighter come down, that to me is when catchweights are bs. What was bs about that situation wasn't the catchweight itself, which benefitted JMM more than Floyd, but the fact that Floyd didn't honor it.

Williams was 1-1 with Quintana, Margarito nearly got beat by Clottey. Come on now, it's one thing to say they would have made Floyd work but to outright favor them is unsound. Both sides are at fault here. Pac should've never fought Marg at 150, especially since "him and Floyd are the same size", as many put it. Pac should've never fought Cotto at 145 when he fought several guys at 147 (DLH and Clottey). Floyd shouldn't be fighting Canelo at 152 when he fought several guys at 154. This is simple stuff, but since so many guys pull for Pac, they say it's ok. Since soo many people pull for Floyd, they say it's ok.
