deal with that sh1t pu$$ies :bottle:Bigpoppapump told me that we have a Boxing 101 class on this site where you can register for free.
Nice list. A couple fought at fw or lw as well. I've watched every fighter on this list live except Flash Elorde. Yes, Brian Mitchell was underrated...but he couldn't beat any of the aforementioned four that I've named.
Prove it :D
Why did it take this long for someone(Me) to mention old Will o' the Wisp?
Because you're being pedantic, Mr Phantom, and you know it :p
Whilst his weight may have hovered around the Super Feather category he was a Featherweight - & arguably the greatest one of all time.
There has been no real stand out at Super Feather, in my opinion. Plenty of very good boxers but no one who owned the division. I mean really owned it like a Hagler, Monzon, etc.
BUT.........
If anyone deserves the crown it's Brian Mitchell of South Africa. Floyd may have had a better career over all but Mitchell went to the hometown of Tony Lopez & beat him (twice - if you watched those fights). Also undefeated in his last 40 odd fights & half his defences were on the road. He wasn't flashy, or controversial, but he won - again & again - in his opponents hometowns, fighting for his opponents promoters & in front of his opponents fans.
But people prefer style over substance these days.....
Here's my Dirty Dozen.
Acelino Freitas
Alfredo Escalera
Alexis Arguello
Azumah Nelson
Brian Mitchell
Edwin Valero
Flash Elorde
Floyd Mayweather
Genaro Hernandez
John John Molina
Julio Cesar Chavez

gotta go with Azumah Nelson and/or Alexis Arguello
But as for the fighters I was able to witness most of their careers personally in that Division: Chico Corrales and Mayweather...also some guys I feel are UNDERRATED by most would be Genaro Hernandez and Jesse James Leija....Genaro was more then just "THE GUY THAT MAYWEATHER BEAT" sadly some of the younger fans only knows him as that same for Chico Corrales as well
