Ever had a fighter you didn't realy like or always rooted against, then have performance that made you stop and reevaluate them? I never hated Floyd Mayweather, but never rooted for him to win any fight. Then going up against Cotto at 154, apparently with a cold and a hurt hand, according to Dan Rafael.

I though when Cotto gave him hell in the 8th, that Mayweather start to bounce away and potshot Cotto the rest of the night to avoid damage. He came right back at Cotto and rocked him in the 12th. I'm not a huge Money Man fan now, but I respect him and would root him to beat most fighters now.
the ''it'' movie was just terrible, it didn't live up to the quality of the book IMO
Watching as an adult is a lot different than watching as a kid. I know plenty of people that developed fear of clowns because of "IT". I'm just a big Steven King fan.
add me to the Froch list. As an American, we never saw him fight; he was just some ugly dude that had fought nobody and was constantly talking **** about Calzaghe.
The Super Six was a really special tournament that allowed everyone to see how much of a badass the Cobra is. He has become one of my favorite fighters of the era.
NUMBER ONE: FLOYD
I was a casual fan before, and casual fans just love excitement, knockouts, blood, wars and everything, so I hated him.. I just couldn't see his greatness before and I was dam bored during his fights.
But when I furthered watch boxing, I eventually like him and think he's one of the best and I appreciate everything he does in the ring, sad to say most filipino's think he's boring..
NUMBER TWO: Hatton
I hated his wrestling style... but now, I like him and want him back, because I believe in his hprime days he would've bullied the likes of bradley, alexander, khan, danny and JMM at 140 or even a 140 version of cotto.. yes he often hugs and clinch, but I believe they would have had a nightmare against him at 140..
Not me......

Used to h8 Floyd Mayweather Jr. big tyme; I always rooted against him (starting with the Gatti fight). I guess I was drinking the Kool Aid Larry Merchant was serving up during Mayweather's fights.
The Hatton fight made me respect Mayweather and his superior boxing skills and I admired the way he outboxed Ricky and KO'd him rather effortlessly. Since then I've become a bigger fan of his and appreciate his mastery of the 'sweet science.'
The Hatton fight had a lot to do with turning me too. It took me a while to accept it but the man is just on another level

I used to dislike Froch when he fought nobody and was obsessed with Calzaghe.
Glad he has got over that now.
One of my favourites to watch.
me too he's probably the one fighter I have done a 180 with
hated his smugness but little by little he became one of my favorites

Mayweather is growing one me I guess, used to hate him but I feel like he's humbling up a little bit. I don't care what he does on his personal life with money or whatnot, but In front of the cameras he's been a bit humble lately I think. It might have been that he realized Cotto wasn't gonna play or fall into any type of stupid antics so he stayed professional.
Just to name a few, I disliked Hop for beating Trinidad and Hoya. I also disliked Mayweather for beating Gatti and Mosley for beating Hoya.
Now, I highly respect all the names above.
What about Pacquiao? He TKO'd Cotto, something Mayweather couldn't accomplish going up against damaged goods.
Froch come to mind for me; at first i couldnt stand dude but he willingness to fight anyone has changed that; same goes for Khan
Carl Froch.
I always thought he was a crybaby, but after he gracefully accepted defeat after Andre Ward dismantled him, he earned my respect.
Then he went on Twitter complaining that the fight could of went either way and he lost it all again.
ha ha good old froch
I was always a Barrera guy so I didn't like Morales. Now I root very hard for him.
I think it's a generational thing for me. If you were a fan in the late 90's-early 2000's you just root for guys from that era even if you disliked them during that period.
Tarver's another one...I HATED him in his day, but I found myself pumped when he ko'd Danny Green.
thats some real talk there!!!...I hated Tarver big time but I was cheering for him to take Green out though...so true about the generation thing as well....I've always respected his game but I never cheered for Morales until he fought Diaz and Maidana :lol1:
