CARL FROCH is enjoying life as a ‘homeboy’ after his years spent as a boxing gypsy.
IBF super-middleweight champion Froch – the self-styled ‘Cobra’ – has established himself as one of boxing’s macho men, with three bouts in the United States, Denmark and Finland in the Super Six.
Although he lost in the final against Andre Ward last year, he returned for a Nottingham homecoming in May and stunned Lucian Bute to win his third world title. Click Here To Read More]
Bika is, Pavlik isn't.
If the Pavlik fight could be made then it would be. I think Froch will bypass Bika and take an easier opponent. IMO Hearn is looking at the long game of Bute II and Kessler II.
So why is it alright for him to do that, when other fighters get crucified for doing the same thing???

I've never gotten that vibe from Froch though, he seems like he enjoys a challenge and he has 100% confidence in his ability.
Sakio Bika is available, so is Kelly Pavlik.

Froch-Groves is not going to happen so people need to stop using it as an option.
Seems there's literally no one from him to fight at the moment.

I have faith a credible opponent will be found. The 168lb is a strong division and could offer potential fights such as;
Balzsay-Froch
Stieglitz-Froch
Bika-Froch
Andrade-Froch
Hopefully Froch does not stray too far from these sorts of fights, don't like the idea of him fighting someone like Sartison or St Juste.
Balzsay is a good shout.
Dont think he has a fight lined up
i will be going to the gym where mack trains to start some ****. how does macks team not get it done for a title shot. if would be a tough fight to win but you have a big opportunity in front of you so get a deal done. even if it is for peanuts. i am disapointed.
They didn't want to fight in Nottingham, either.
I didn't know that. A little known challenger refusing to fight a famous champ in his hometown? LOL did they expect Froch to fight in south africa?
if it was money, they would have said it was money
"he's not ready" is basically admitting to ducking, you wouldn't say it unless it was true, it makes no sense
So going by your logic, Cotto was ducking Floyd in 05-06 when Top Rank said he wasn't ready, and Hatton ducked Floyd in 05' when Hatton's team said he wasn't ready. Right??? Doesn't matter, because both fights happened anyway, but still going by your logic.

Nope. He injured himself just to get home court vs George. Not that it will make a difference cause George is gonna get KTFO but still.

yusuf mack!?!? that guy is gatekeeper to gatekeepers!!
i wouldn't have minded froch taking this fight when mack was still 26-30 years old but imo hes past it now. appreciate that froch has a tough run since 08 but surely they can find a more credible opponent than mack attack.
Nah Oosthuizen turned him down because the money was too low : http://www.boxingscene.com/team-oosthuizen-turned-down-carl-froch-over-low-offer--56121
How about Sakio Bika? That would be a hell of a fight.

Who's fault was it for falling through?
Oosthiezen's people didn't think he was ready.
