Doug Fischer, Steve Kim, and Julian Jackson all watched Golovkin sparring two CW's in preperation for his Proksa fight and here is some parts from Fischer's article with quotes from his sparring partners. The entire thing is worth a read.
(Note - Imoesiri fought at HW in WSB with no headgear under pro rules and had a close fight with 2x Olympic Silver Medallist Clemente Russo)

“He’s a f__king beast,” said Coyne, a 20-0 cruiserweight prospect who has recently dropped down to light heavyweight. “He’s been running guys out of here. Nobody under 175 pounds will spar with him.
“I’ve sparred with heavyweights who can punch, including Mariusz Wach and Mike Perez, nobody has hit me as hard as Golovkin. His power is out of this world.”
"Golovkin stunned Imoesiri into the ropes with a lead right midway through the round, prompting the amateur standout fire back a four-punch combination with impressive hand speed. However, Golovkin blocked the shots and pushed the bigger man back into the ropes"
"In rounds three and four, Golovkin kept Imoesiri’s back to the ropes and tormented the young man with an assortment of compact crosses and hooks to the body and head. The final minute of the fourth round was particularly brutal, but Imoesiri says he’s becoming accustomed to the punishment.
“The dude can hit, I’m still getting used to it,” said Imoesiri, who like Coyne, is delightfully bright and articulate. “It’s crazy. I sparred with Alexander Povetkin and he never hurt me like this guy.
“I must have done 50 rounds while in camp with Povetkin and it was three and half weeks before he hit me with something that made me hold on. With Golovkin I was ready to get out of the ring 45 seconds into our first round of sparring. He hit me with two lefts to the body in the identical spot and had me doubled over. I got through it but it’s hard to defend against 6-inch punches with that much pop. He backs me into a corner with just a jab.
“And it seems like he does it effortlessly.”
“That’s why I have to put him in with big guys,” said Sanchez. “He’s too relaxed when he spars with middleweights or junior middleweights. They can’t hurt him. It’s so easy doesn’t bother to defend himself. He gets silly.
“We have a saying in my gym: ‘There’s no free shots.’ I don’t want my fighters letting opponents hit them. So sparring with the bigger guys makes him work his defense – to a degree.”
I got the feeling my old HouseofBoxing and MaxBoxing cohort believes Sanchez by the look on his face after the sparring session.
Kim sat on a stool in front of the ring with a look of disbelief.
“He literally wore this big guy down,” said Kim, who isn’t easily impressed. “I don’t think either guy could have gone one more round with him.”
Here's some footage from his training camp with brief sparring clips. He spars 4 minute rounds.

I see him being outboxed by an elite fighter down the road but it's gonna have to be someone real good.
Yeah because hes verry good as well. He was also an good amateur. He he can bang and he can box.
Not being stopped in over a decade doesn't make up for the fact that he was shot and yet he was taking Golovkins punches very well, he had also been fairly inactive. Golovkin looked like **** in that fight and I expect him to be exposed sooner or later.

Like Tmann said, people get too caught up in this power thing but you have to know how to utilize it. I'm not saying Golovkin cant but let's face it, say what you want about Proksa, this is a step up for BOTH guys. IMO at least.

But still he always has that crushing power. It seems he hits even harder than Arthur Abraham and he also has better skills than Abraham. If he stays at middleweight he will beat anybody. I would love to see him crush Sturm but Sturm wants no part of Golovkin. Golovkin will develop into the most feared Middleweight in the next 2 years but that will cause problems to get big fights.
I would love to see him fight the Martinez/Chavez Jr. winner after he crushes Proksa and there is still Pirog, i hope they reschedule the fight.

I wonder how Gennady did with Canelo cause they sparred I think prior to the Mosley fight
I think GGG rocked him a few times theres a report about it somewhere online
I mean, dan and NE might not give him credit cause they dont think very highly of Porksa :lol1:. But I think the majority of the people are pretty excited about this fight and SHOULD give him credit if he does get the W.
Ima bust a nut... I got ringside seats
Damn right he hits hard. It also comes from his technique. Golovkin just needs the opportunity to showcase vs the champions. Like Sturm. I think the Proksa will be quick and he'll get marginal to little credit for the W though.

This is great test for GGG to really show what he is made of. I tend to let hype go by the wayside though. When it's fighting time there will be all the answers anyone needs.

Golovkin has raw power, no doubt about that. But, power and strength can be rendered useless unless you have the skills to utilize it against world class opposition who know how to block, slip, smother and clinch properly. Just to make an example, look what Ward did to guys like Froch and Kessler, two massive punchers. He had the defensive skills and smothering ability to render their power useless.
All I'm saying here, is I think people fall in love with big punchers way too often without really looking at the big picture. Look at David Lemieux and the ridiculous hype he received for an example.
Proksa, I'm just not sure what to make of him yet. He demolished Sylvester, and Sylvester is a crafty and solid fighter. I've never seen anyone demolish and dominate him like that. Proksa has the flaw I believe of fighting down to the level of his competition. If he's fully focused and operating at his prime level, this fight is a toss up for me. Proksa isn't a one punch kinda guy, but he has solid power, he throws very accurate combinations, utilizes angles nicely, and has very good hand speed.
It really all depends on what the "real" Proksa is so to speak. The one who had issues with Hope? Or, the one who demolished Sylvester? We'll find out.
Btw you are all talking about GGG's power like it's something out of this world but the truth is, his competition is no better than Super G's. Let's talk about his power when he actually starts fighting top competition and actually taking them out.
I don't really rate the guy tbh but I tell you something for nowt, he will absolutely murder that overrated bum Proksa who twice went life & death with Kerry ''no' Hope.
Sick of hearing about Proksa, hes one of the worst prospects I've ever seen & I can't wait for Golovkin to show him for what he is, useless.
He gets his lights put out quicktime.
Whoa slow down there cowboy. The guy went life n death the first fight cause of his cut. He's fairly new and he probably did not know how to deal with it. Look what happened the second fight, it sure as hell was not life n death. Careful with your words, you might find Golovkin be the one going life n death vs the worst prospect out there.
you talkin about the poor man's martinez, dog?
i cant get over how much of a martinez clone he looked to be in one or two of his performances. he's literally martinez on welfare.
right hand down the pipe. eventually golovkin will get close enough for prokza to be unable to back up, and he'll shoot the right hand at his chest. it will land on the chin when proksa tries to slip it, and that will be all she wrote.
Aw come on man, so any guy that fights with that style is just mocking another fighter? I don't think a fighter goes into the gym like "I wanna be like RJJr or Martinez" and try to mimic their style.
Tell you what tho, I like both guys and I don't care who wins. But something tells me come fight night Ill be rooting for Proksa but that's cause Im an underdog guy. You have to give credit to Proksa for taking this fight after these so called "top guys" all dropped out or did not wanna take it. He MIGHT not be ready for Golovkin but he took the fight and obviously don't care about risking another L. Hard to call how this fight is gonna go but I think it's gonna be pretty competitive and I don't think it's gonna be a KO for neither guy.

Yeah the Sergio wannabe or drunken Sergio impersonator as I like to call him lol
I seen him struggle a few times against Domestic level opposition then seen him bounce back against a heavily faded Sylveste, though faded it was a good performance admittedly, since then he has gone seriously downhill.
The straight right is what I am expecting.
I've honestly got Golovkin in this one within six & likely between the first & third. (odds are great & I'm very confident in this)
Horrific defense & he is a tiny middleweight. I see him leaving on a stretcher.
