Ye I agree, it also shows that if a big punching(good skills) American heavyweight comes along he could make crazy money. That being said I think it will be a long time b4 any1 comes close 2 Tyson
Yeah that was a fun era of boxing. I feel sorry for anyone who missed it.
That's still amazing. If Floyd or any other big name fighter in history did 3 years and his first fight out of jail was a Peter McNeeley caliber opponent. . There's no way in hell that fight would do Tyson/McNeeley numbers.

The fight also did over 1.5million ppv buys generating over 60million (if it's the fight I'm thinking about) this could of been because it was his first fight since getting out of prison

Tyson fought Peter McNeeley and drew the sixth largest gate in Vegas history. lol

Mayweather vs Pacquiao, oh wait it won't happen til it both fighters are pushing 40.
The 2 biggest fights both failed to live up to the hype.
The 2 best were Gatti-Ward 1 and Corales-Castillo 1, both I have watched many times they were so good.
Wait biggest or best?
Biggest. And i know the easy answer is Oscar vs Floyd. But I'm looking for some a little more meaningful in the grand scheme of things. Oscar had seen better days; Floyd is not his best at 154
Think Ali frazier. Now obviously nothing could come close...but a fight that just wasn't a great matchup on paper that generated a ton of money. A fight that had it all...Floyd and Oscar, had it been a close tremendous fight, would be the clear favorite. But that wasn't the case
