It could have been against an F level/journeymen/lower tier fighter, or an A class fighter. It doesn't matter. Name your favorite fighter and the fight you felt he put his full skill-set on display. Win, Lose or Draw. Close fight, doesn't matter. You can name multiple faves. Please only choose 1 performance per fighter.
Jones: James Toney
Taylor: Winky Wright
Mayweather: Diego Corrales
Chad Dawson: Tomasz Adamek
Bernard Hopkins: Tough to choose since he schooled a bunch of fighters, Johnson, Trinidad, Tarver, Pavlik, Pascal. I'll say Pascal. Pascal hurt him, so Hopkins chin was on display, Hopkins traded so his fighters mentality was on display, he outboxed him. Full skillset was on display, and at age 47, incredible performance.
Juan Manuel Marquez when he fought pac may favorite fight!
Hopkins when he fought the rooad warrior looked invincible!
Winky when he fought shane
Hatton when he fought pauly
Toney when he fought Jirov
May with chicanito
Roy vs the quiet man
Cotto's demolition of Alfonso Gomez. Gomez is never going to be a P4P type fighter, but when he fights, he's usually reasonably competitive, even against world class fighters. Except against Cotto. Cotto outboxed him, worked his body like a prime Cotto did, and threw an exceptional jab. He was also ****y as hell in this fight. Rare occasion for Miguel there, always a sportsman, but this night, he showed how good he was and he knew it.
Not hating on your view here because Miguel did look at his absolute best that night, but you should know that Gomez had pancreatis in the middle of his training camp and came into the fight with a still healing broken hand. It probably wouldn't have been the blowout that it was if Gomez was 100 percent healthy. I didn't like the style matchup as a Gomez fan, because I thought that Cotto and Gomez were very similar in fighting style except for Cotto had the athleticism that Gomez lacked. However, I think it would have at least been quasi-competitive if Gomez had been healthy.
mayweather vs justin jukko
mayweather vs gatti
mayweather vs tony pep
That was basically a kid schooling a veteran. That's pretty funny. That fight really showed what Floyd's career was gonna end up looking like, his next fight against Hernandez just solidified that. He went on a tear at 130 after that.
Mosley-His fight with Hoya 1...
Bradley-His fight with Peterson...
Froch-His fight with AA..
Mayweather-His fight with JLC2 or Corrales
Pac-His fight with Morales2
Martinez His fight with Pav..
Bradley absolutely schooled peterson.. i mean, i remember seeing that fight and being in awe.
Martinez did well in that fight, but pav was having his way in the middle of the fight..
Muhammad Ali- Cleveland Williams
Ali is the g.o.a.t, bar none!
If you YouTube that fight right now, you'll see the greatest fighting machine that ever lived!

I would say Hopkins vs Johnson was the best display of Hopkins in his prime displaying what made him a terror at middleweight. Imagine Sergio or Chavez Jr trying to fight that version of Bernard.
Muhammad Ali vs Cleveland Williams
Joe Frazier vs Bob Foster
George Foreman vs Ken Norton (and maybe Frazier II)
Sonny Liston vs Wayne Bethea
Joe Louis vs Max Baer and Buddy Baer II

Ortiz's knockout of Berto. He got knocked down and hurt, but he bullied Berto. He showed his one punch power at WW. Showed enormous potential.
Gamboa's blitzing of Mtagwa was and is breathtaking. The night I became a big fan, the Solis fight deserves honorably mention.
Martinez's KO of Paul Williams. His fight with Pavlik was damn good too.
Duran when he fought Barkley, the knockdown makes me shiver
Ward over Froch... It just made me so happy
Cotto over Judah
Bradley over Peterson, the performance that proved Bradley was a true top fighter
Ali over Liston
Balboa over Lang II, Rocky sure showed his skill there
Junior Jones knocking Barrera out isn't that high on my list, but I remember saying Junior looks sharp, and then boom, big right hand, fight over! Barrera gets up and tries to continue, but can't.
Michael Carbajal vs Humberto Gonzalez. Was it "Little Hands" most skilled win? Don't know. But it was amazing. Plus the fact I'm watching it right now might blur my reasoning, lol.
