floyd doesn't need a tune up, i think history has shown that. also, bradley is not a "tune up" for anyone, he's a serious challenge for anyone out there. i would love to see this fight, floyd would be too much for him, but it'd be great to see floyd beat bradley after coming off of a pacquiao "win". he can go back to WW, scoop up the wbo belt off bradley and then defend his wbc belt against guerrero or alexander.
BUT this will never happen (mayweather/bradley) because bob arum would prevent it from happening. :lol1: you should've made that poll public to see who picked that section option.
Seriously, Floyd is so good that fightting an undefeated WW champion is being called a tune up. This silly sh*t right here is the reason floyd can never have a great win, even if he beat an undefeated WW champion it would be called a tune up by casuals. SMMFH
it would be a good fight, imo. and it interests me but it ain't tune up.. imo, bradley can beat berto and ortiz at 147... yes floyd would look wonderful again and would dominate bradley in the inside.. bradley would use his original style which he didnt against pac and we all know why..
yes, its a good comeback fight, again its not a tune up, but yes, bradley aint hurting floyd..
Does Floyd really need a tune up? He just fought in May.
No he dont need a tune up , and if his next fight is Bradley then Bradley is a tune up , do you see the difference , Floyd would punish him and get a TKO late , it would be one of Floyds easiest fights , as easy as JMM !
I agree with the others that said Bradley is way to good a fighter to be considered a tune up fight. Mayweather has been fighting since he was a kid and does not need a tuneup. It would be a good win for Floyd and Bradley has a chance to win. Floyd is 35 and slowing down in my opinion. He is still great but not unbeatable. Floyd can make lots of money fighting any good fighter including Bradley.
Yes, I think it's a great fight for Floyd. I don't think he needs a tune up fight. He just fought Cotto 3 months ago. All he need is 2 or 3 months to train and promote the fight. That is if they can work with Arum.
i hate dumb ass threads like this
tune up????
Bradleys one of the best fighters in the world hands down right in the top 5
your either being sarcastic or just a complete moron when it comes to the sport and have no idea what tune up means
i honestly cant think of a fighter in history that would use a prime bradley as a"TUNE UP"
i might even pick bradley over floyd at this stage in floyds career , 3-4 years ago at 140-147 floyd wins nearly every round but 2012 bradley def is a live dog
If TMT and TR can work together, yes.
I dont see the pillow fisted Bradley being much computition for Floyd. He wouldnt be able to keep Floyd from stalking him down over 12 rounds.
For the guys asking "Why does Floyd need a tune up" % the guys saying "How is Timmy a tune up"
History taught me that basically anybody Floyd fights besides Manny/Sergio & King Kong gets defanged and called hand picked. So me classifying Timmy as a "Tune up", is just nipping it in the bud.
For the guys asking about the buisness head butt stuff...
I'm well aware of the situation, but the same people asking the question blame the road block for Manny & Floyd not fighting on Floyd?
You can't have it both ways guys.
Fans in these forums are confused people. Bradly is supposed to be the GUY to beat. He's young, hungry, undefeated.
I bet this TS is one of those kids who repeats this mantra everyday: Paq is overrated. He's amateurish. He fought weigth drained, washed up figthers. Marques beat him three times, you name it.
Come fight night, the same kids expect Paq to murder his every opponent. Bradly is supposed to win decisively. He's young, undefeated, bla bla....
Better comp at welterweight?? There isn't any. Lets get 1 thing straight. Floyd is the best counter puncher in boxing. Counter punching stunts the Pacman offense entirely. So I really don't see him being competitive with Floyd.
But Bradley, he can actually adapt, is younger, fresh & has the stamina to keep up with Floyd. Couple that with the fact that he hung neck & neck with Pacman on bum legs, if Floyd fights at 147, Bradley is the best choice imo.
Just wondering what you guys think.
I think tune up is a poor choice of terminology, respectfully, but its the fight I want to see floyd take. Tim is a top 10 p4p fighter who just showed decently, despite injury, but lost IMO to a top 3/4 p4p fighter.
